i havent been to lotus in over a year but do they still play that deep shit on saturday nights?

i love tech house but that real homo 6am at the world pilled out shit gets me everytime. and im not talking that disco sound, i like dave armstrong and hirshee is a friend of mine and i really like his music but disco house has some cheesy elements that are good at a rave but when i wanna go on a drink/dancing marathon or make love to a shorty its that deep tech shit that gets me through the night.

nah man, you speak of deepen saterdays.....its long gone, along with overproof thursdays...nothin left my friend, lotus long weekends are the only time you can hear really deep tech house
or come see me play at the anza club every last saterday of the month :)

Huh? Tech-house gets regular play at Signal Saturdays at Lotus, you just need to stick around past 1:30am....

Also, there's been a resurgence of classic 90's style house lately. This one's pretty damn good.

Also been feeling these guys like crazy lately.

well if thats what you consiter tech house, Im not to big on that shit, there is no bassline...just alot of bleeps, ticks and drones, seem like what people consiter "tech house" as today is much different as i know it as. tyler stadius is alot more tech house than say andy clockwork.... but thats just me

Everyone is doing what they always do....following the trends and not having any originality of their own.... trends come and go... but there are always people out there who don't give a shit what the masses want them to play.. and play what they want... those are the people worth seeking out... it's seldom we get a lot of good headlining house dj's in this city that have their own steez... but they show up once and a while... dj heather last month was sick... and had everyone going off... but just cause shes not playing "insert random mainstream electro garbage here" they don't have more dj's like her coming out to play.... I think all our problems would be solved if we banned all the barstar bling bling gangsters and their skanky plastic girlfriends..... then promoters wouldn't have to support their need for horrible music...

Well, the resurgence of minimal has moved tech-house off the house tip into the techno tip. HOWEVER, the pendulum has been swinging back in the other direction lately what with Disco's return to edm, so you might be pleasantly surprised.

Maybe. The minimal stuff _is_ still kicking around, but yeah. look out for more of what you're looking for over the next year.

good call, i've had that blind track on rotation lately. I've also been enjoying the bits of 90s. I liked that juan mclean track that came out a long while ago that had this repetitive 90s'ish piano key loop.
