Does this actually exist? I mean, I know Atmospheric DnB, that's about as floaty as I've heard the stuff get....

Ill-Esha is a local that spins/produces a bunch of that, and she's killer.

ill-esha doesn't spin trance n bass, or at least not exclusively enough to make that mention

subwave, john b, black sun empire, sunchase, ill skillz ... off the top of my dome

lots of russian cats love their trance n bass

john b obv. raiden. counterstrike has a bit of that feel.

but normally it wont be like a soft fluffy trance feel.. normally your trance n bass is pretty hectic.

oh yea ben sage. starbright knows whats up. ben sage tears shit apart. i have a couple real good sage mixes id be willing to share.

I dunno about calling Raiden "Trance'n'Bass".

Heck, I don't even like that term as it is.

Blah. I agree with Dabbler... pick one.

there's a lot of stuff out there that would fit that sound, growly atmos/melodic neurofunk. i love it. the whole "trance'n'bass" thing lasted like 6 months and then people went back to calling it d'n'b (or pigeon holing it into another, less ghey sounding sub genre).

i suggest klute, big bud, blu mar ten, d kay, d:bridge, plus the others that have been mentioned.

actually, i don't think any of the d'n'b events around town get posted on here. probably why a lot of people on this board think that there's no d'n'b going on.

check out nwdnb. that's where vancouver dnb hangs out.

upcoming shows:

sept. 28 - select sundays opening night at the lamplighter (and every sunday after)
oct. 4th - SHAH Sat. at the backstage (lots of bangers and neurofunk that night. brukout is the guest)
oct. 14th - junglism at republic (on the patio, lots of old school)
oct. 18th - out of the jungle boat party
oct. 18th - open dex at anza: d'n'b edition
oct. 31st - shimon (details tba)
nov. 1st - SHAH Sat. scorpio edition. (probably more smoothed out stuff. ill esha is the guest)
nov. 11th - junglism at republic

i've never really been that interested in big headliners so i kind of think in the opposite way.

we are bringing Shimon for halloween though (an automatic/SHAH joint venture). at a very good venue too. i'm not big on the ram records sound but it's going to be a ballin' show regardless.
