and well it should, but the point is. who gives a shit anymore? Trust me, it's not what you play or what "tricks" you do djing, it's how many people you can bring out to a night.
i was at a bar supporting some dj this weekend, it was the worst case of trainwrecks i ever heard, people were applauding because they were too stupid to notice that their friend was the worst dj ever. but, it was packed. |

One hell of a topic to just get pulled up out of no where considering I was the last person to reply before my friend above me here since 2003. To make things more interesting I haven't even been on this site since around that time. Strange days.
Here's my take now. We need DJ's and quite simply good DJ's usually equal good times. I guess the question I'd ask would be where would all you DJ's be if nobody was producing tunes for you to play. DJing is fun and can be very rewarding to a persons creative spirit but it doesn't push the envelope, it doesn't create new genre's of music and if nobody spent the endless hours producing in the studio we wouldn't even have DJ's. DJ's GET WAY TOO MUCH CREDIT!!!!!!!! Producers set the vibe. Producers create the music. Give a little credit where it's due. Ez |

Worst attitude ever. I've heard a lot of DJ's turn producers and produce shit. you're probably one of them. |

PRODUCERS CAN SUCK
DJS CAN SUCK SOMETIMES ITS JUST ABOUT HOW FUCKED UP THE CROWD IS CASE IN POINT: LORIN BASSNECTAR WAS BORING AS SHIT THE ONLY TIME I SAW HIM (LEFT AFTER 35 MINUTES), YET SOME PEOPLE THINK HE'S THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST WHEN THEY'RE HIGH IN THE WOODS SOMEWHERE l |

The Valley of the Dolls would be a wicked theme for an event at Little Slocan Lodge ....I don't mind crappy djs sometimes if the party has a fun theme .. I don't like that 45-1hr long drive home after a long party though... .. ...too much tofu there too :D
