Man, my dad had the wickedest record collection, when I think of all the kids @ the school he VPed at that probably thought he was like the biggest old square guy... They woulda ampped if they saw it

Complete Pink Floyd (including rare quadraphonics (and yes he had a quadraphonic harmon kardon receiver)
Most Rolling Stones, Led Zepplin & Beatles
Half a dozen Monty Python Albums
Enormous Collection of Rare & Fabulous Jazz
Solid Collection of Funk & Fusion Record

I raided it at least 6 times to rip records down onto mp3 off them... God knows my fragile head was warped hearing Herbie Hancock's Chameleon at the age of 7. His taste in music has heavily influenced mine, and I think it's mostly for the better.

My Dad is a Country man. Johnny Cash, George Jones... etc.

My mom is stuck in the 80's plus a little bit of modern stuff like U2 and Enya.

Yes, I dislike most of the stuff they listen too... but... yeah, they're older than me. I wont expect my kids to like the music I listen to.

im a rock and roll baby...
everytime i hear certain songs i get memories of myself at a very young age. my dad is out the sixties and my mom was in the younger generations..
my dad was a teen in the 60's so he was into Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young, The Beatles,The Doors,The Who, The Rolling stones and BOb Dylan... my mother was a teen in the 70's and was more into Fleetwoodmac, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, the Eagles and Van morrison
im quite thankful for my upbringing...

my dad listened to alot of cheesy dance music when i was growing up. He just though it was a hype thing to do while going through midlife crisis. little did he know what kind of trouble it eventually got me into.

I'm so glad that I was raised with the music that I was raised with. It is the greatest music of all time.

I should also mention that my dad TECHNICALLY gave me my first introduction to electronic music with his KLF "The White Room" tape... some songs sound very trancy for their time (1991?)
