Major accident on Thurlow?

Did any of you guys see that major accident on Thurlow?
Tons of blood all over the cement, windshield smashed.
There were cops everywhere and a whole forensics crew taking pictures.
Crazy! :(

bad day for pedestrians. I saw a biker get nailed in gastown today.

According to 24 magazine, a 30 year old guy was crossing (Jaywalking) on Robson & Thurlow and got smacked. He suffered head injuries and is in critical condition. That's a busy street so it must have been somewhat traumatizing to those who witnessed the accident.

geeeez. use the crosswalk. this bus driver this morning was saying the 2 burrard station route ages him 'cause he watches dozens of people jay walk across burrard to the skytrain, literally dodging cars.

did anyone hear about an arrest a couple weeks ago on burnaby st between thurlow and burrard?

i was at my friends during the whole deal. tons of cops, the whole street and alleys on either side of it barricaded with multiple cop cars, paddy wagons, a news van and crime scene tape. they even had a bunch of cops on foot with flashlights and K-9 units searching every inch of the block for something. when we took a walk to the store the police helicopter was flying over us shining it's light down on the street.
my friend said all he heard was sirens, then cops yelling "GET DOWN ON THE GROWND" and when he peeked out his window he saw a couple cops with their guns drawn and a man on the ground being arrested.i showed up shortly after that and the area was swamped with police.
we checked local news and never heard ANYTHING about the incident.
