Azim and I certainly do our best to scout out who is big/available to come over here and play. -- Don't assume that everyone on this board and similar ones, is a kid... you'd be surprised just who reads these things!

In addition your point on our kind of crowd -- the "rave" or all-night dance scene (especially at the Plaza as a venue) will always be younger... the older crowd naturally gravitates towards the clubs to be with there peers -- I know I do. You are correct that I listen to people of all ages especially our paying clients and in some cases, it is those "kids" that save up long and hard to buy those expensive $45 and $55 tickets for our shows. These are the "kids" that continue to invest in Twisted and our shows and for them, we are extremely greatful... they are the reason Twisted has been around for 5 years now!

Your point is well taken though and is the prime reason that as the club scene evolves, expect to see Twisted evolve with it and move into those venues.

Peace.

:PartEkid: :PartEkid: WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT KRAIG, YOU TALK TO ME WHEN YOU SEE ME AND I'M ONLY 15!!!!!

Kraig the same crowd will always show up no matter what DJs are playing.

If you were around a couple of years ago when Volume played here, you would have heard him play Kalaidoscope #1-15 in no particular order. I cant imagine him playing any different again. And DJ Neutron who?

Twisted is supposed to be a leading production company in this city, why are you not bringing in some serious international breakbeat talent? You guys seem to concentrate on breaks a lot so why not bring in somebody good? You are playing the sound of 2 years ago. Get with it!

OWNAGE

$45 is not unreasonable to see Ferry Corsten, period. I don't know who the fuck these breaks guys are but I don't care either =P

DJs of the calibre of Ferry Corsten are in the 10 grand USD range on a Saturday night, give or take some. I know as a fact that Mauro Picotto is 20 grand USD on a Friday/Saturday, and 8 grand USD on a weekday. These guys cost BIG MONEY, and if you want to see them then this is the cost, $45 does not seem unreasonable to me at all.

Anyways, I've known it was Ferry for a few weeks, but thanks for raising the bar by bringing the world's best and not crappy ripoffs =P

If he's willing to do it, give him a 3 hour set, fuck that'd be killer.

Thanks for the feedback and suggestions everyone -- THIS IS GREAT!.

LJF (Lenny) - thanks for the PM with some additional breaks suggestions. You are literally only one of about five to ever do that formally for me!

This is gonna be an interesting party for sure - the combination of Ferry, Graham Gold and DJ Antoine will mix up the kind of crowd we will see for sure!

Double J - we are debating that right now... we may switch things up a bit this time and move breaks upstairs... stay tuned.

Peace.

Jiggy, you're so silly.

You say in one breath that you want good breaks talent to be brought to Vancity.

Then you say in your next breath that we're bringing in no name dj's that you've never heard of.

Then in your third breath you want dj's WE'VE never heard of who most likely DO have talent.

Why don't we bring in dj's YOU'VE never heard of, who DO have talent, and knock you off your feet. you know.. just to surprise you. we can start off with.... DJ Neutron. heh heh. you get the point. silly jiggy.

Also, i think this is the strongest line-up i've ever seen on a twisted roster. I would really have liked to see warp brothers come in again. right now they have given me my favourite live set. but, ferry corsten, graham gold, oh baby. good times good times.

.Lawrence @ forwerd

ps. kraig, halo, soon.

45$ for a line up like this is totally NOT out of the question.
if this ended at 2 or 4am i'd still go .
it's parties like these that represent a regular nite in the UK.

i guess the extra dough made from spooky will go towards this.

and i don't know why complaints are being made about breaks dj's.
and how no-name dj's shouldn't be brought up.
twisted's brought in sum pretty nice break dj's over the last few parties. and it's not easy to just bring ANYONE in. famous dj's would obviously be booked or be a bit too expensive for a cheap show that everybody expects
but some no name dj's are the best of all..
cinto is probably a nobody out in the uk but he could rip up a wicked classic set out there w/ people to give him mad props frreal

2sweet, i realize u dno't smoke bud.. what's w /the pic

I did say that they were no-namers but I dont dont say i haven't heard of them before. They are just no-namers as far as breakbeat talent goes.
DJ Neutron= http://audio.satelliterecords.com/ram/96665.RAM
Now you take a listen. If that is what you think good breakbeats are, then you are on crack! These are not mind blowing beats. They are cracker-jack bullshit wanna-be breakbeats!

As I have said, look up for the DJs who are making the waves out there in the party world. Dont just bring in any bullshit cheap DJ that has never been into town before.

So if you havent heard of Way Out West, or Hybrid that just goes to show that you promoters have no idea about what is going on! These are the most sought after producers WORLDWIDE for what they do.
Research! That's part of the job. If you want to impress people with a breakbeat headliner, these are the type of DJs you want to be bringing in.

The only DJ you guys have brought in that was satsifying was Sharaz. Everyone else was pretty weak. I suggest firing whoever is in charge in that department and hire someone from Pound to book your breakbeat DJ's or even consult with someone like Grooverobber or even Czech on who would be good candidates for a headliner.

Please! You are promoting garbage to the kids!

Silly Forwerd, thought you knew.

If you're going to shell out big money for breaks, then get in WOW, Hybrid or PMT. Please don't bring in a bunch of expensive Florida trash that's been here many times in the past =P
