SIMPLE IV HEADLINERS ANNOUNCED!

Well you asked for all of them and we listened! Have a look at these confirmed headliners we've booked for Simple VI coming up on November 30th 2002!

Ferry Corsten (Amsterdam)
Graham Gold (UK)
Mike Downey (LA)

We couldn't do it for Spooky for ya but I listened closely and read ALL of your messages so...
DJ Antoine (Switzerland)!!!!!!!!!! :smoke1:

And for some breaks:
Volume (FLA)
Neutron (Louisiana)

Like Spooky, tickets for this party will be starting at $45/each Azim and I realize this is expensive but we have received a ton of messages from all of you saying BIGGER headliners is better. Ferry Corsten alone is costing us more than what our entire DJ budget is normally for a party! -- During Twisted's entire 5 year tenure, this is the most we have ever spent on a DJ line-up!!! What Azim and I are asking to hear from you is this - are the bigger headliners that you are requesting to hear what you want? Keep in mind that with limited capacity for these events imposed by the city, pulling in headliners like Ferry and with rising venue costs that it forces us to raise ticket prices to where they are today. We realize and appreciate this is tough on the pocket book yet when DJ's like Sasha come to town and visit, we observe people dishing our $50+ a ticket!!! Give me your feedback either here or in the form of a PM as to what you would like to see moving forward. Twisted is one of the last remaining production companies throwing all-night massives and therefore your feedback is extremely valuable to us. I think I have proven that I do listen and value all feedback - positive or negative and we do our best to make as many changes as we can.

And what do you think of the line-up!?!

Peace.

If you can pull this off this party might surpass Twisted 2001 in my books as the best massive thrown in Vancouver.

Who from Twisted is the one responsible for bringing in these no-namer breakbeat DJs?
ET Bros seem to have the idea=

I totally agree jiggy1... I soooooo wanted and planned to book The Freestylers or Krafty Kuts for this party to only find that Groovy (from ET Bros) had already booked them both! If we would have booked Krafty Kuts for the party (as they would have stayed in town for over a week to also play at our party in addition to the club) then that would have taken away from the crowd going to Groovy's night... People would have chosen one or the other and we are not into taking business away from other production companies.

Suggestions for Breaks talent comes from people like you! Message me directly with who you want to see, why and if you even have any contact info for them or there booking agency.

Peace.

There's your first mistake.
You as the promoter should be finding these DJ's yourself and finding the freshest talent of the sort, not asking kids on a message board who they want to see. Ever wonder why most of your crowd are kids? Cause thats the type music you are bringing them. The older crowd with the trained ears are going to the clubs to see their djs cause thats the only place the good DJs are playing.

Just my 2p

P.S. Props on DJ Antione!

DnB is going off all the time in clubs. Hello DJ Rap in 8 days and Ill-fingas tomorrow night. As well there have been to many others to mention over the last 6 months. In all honesty I wouldn't bother booking a major jungle headliner for a rave either. I don't think that the club crowd that listens to DnB would really want to go to a rave to see it and I don't think taht the younger kids that are into to DnB would make it worth it finacially.

Remeber it does cost a lot of money to bring these guys out and it costs a lot less on say a Tuesday or a Thursday =)

As for the line up big props. Ferry is big time talent and even though I don't like trance I can respect that. As for Volume and Neutron both these boys will tear it up for sure. Rember Volume is 1/2 of the Hotheadz and will be sure to have some good treats.

yeah, i hear ya. I know about volume being sick n' all. I'm all over the breaks scene. Just i've yet to hear some SICK SICK jungle since Goldie & Doc SCott. That was just sooooo fuckin good. I don't party hardy during the week anymore. So hearing some sick headliner jungle at a party would make up for the half ass partying i do during the week.

I would disagree jiggy1... A lot of the people I speak with are not "kids" and are actually Producers themselves signed to International labels - DJ Antoine is evidence of that.

The older crowd will ALWAYS go to clubs and especially with the club scene changing in the very near future (open till 4AM, etc...) this will be even more so.

Azim and I certainly do our best to scout out who is big/available to come over here and play. -- Don't assume that everyone on this board and similar ones, is a kid... you'd be surprised just who reads these things!

In addition your point on our kind of crowd -- the "rave" or all-night dance scene (especially at the Plaza as a venue) will always be younger... the older crowd naturally gravitates towards the clubs to be with there peers -- I know I do. You are correct that I listen to people of all ages especially our paying clients and in some cases, it is those "kids" that save up long and hard to buy those expensive $45 and $55 tickets for our shows. These are the "kids" that continue to invest in Twisted and our shows and for them, we are extremely greatful... they are the reason Twisted has been around for 5 years now!

Your point is well taken though and is the prime reason that as the club scene evolves, expect to see Twisted evolve with it and move into those venues.

Peace.
