thenx 4 the support but i have some bad news
i had some problems with the venue and and really low ticket sales ... so unless ticket sales pick up i will be forced to cancel or postpone this event...hope u all understand it would really suck to see all this go down in gutter for nothin .. but its not up to me at this point -Tommy Zex

Tommy, from what you told me, the only problem is that the owner of the venue wants to be there during the event. Then you went offline before I could reply. So what if he wants to be there? Seriously, is he gonna call the cops on a bunch of kids that he SAID could use his venue? NO. Is he gonna back talk 50something people? NO. As long as you chaperon the party in a responsible manner and don't openly start doing drugs and drinking heavily right infront of the guy/girl, then you have nothing to worry about. They just wanna make sure no one od's/dies in their place, cuz then they will have problems. Do you think they honestly care if someone is drunk? Other than the property the owner doesn't have much to worry about. At our last party the owner said he was gonna be there the whole night. He came in looked around and went back to his office where he spent the next 6 hours eating sushi and eggrolls w/ his wife. Seriously, you're over-reacting if you think one person is gonna shut you down. Your rental cost is nothing to worry about, if you have 20 tickets sold you'll be fine, plus doorsales are always a BIG help. Quit worrying about everything so much, it'll all come together in the end.

Look at Agrodave, took a loss on two Grooves in a row. Busted. Busted. Did he bitch and complain and whine about it? No. So seriously, who cares about the money, especially when its such a small amount. Look at Apex, almost every company there putting on a stage lost cash, I lost cash, my partners lost A LOT more, but did they care or complain? No. Cuz its about the party kids. Its about making an impression and showing them a good time once in a while. About making them feel valued, because without them this scene would be even worse off than it is right now. Excuse the tirade, but some people need to really weigh the possibilities here and make sure they understand the consequences of their actions. Just in case my position isn't clear enough, here it is: Don't cancel! Cuz then all your efforts and the time you've put into this party WILL go down the gutter.
