You have to admit though, despite the challenges they faced, which were many, Steve and Morgan managed to throw some wicked shows there.

i really like the waldorf as a venue. Large, multiple rooms, places to sit, places to chat. Halloween and Crowd control were wicked. It sux shy was cut short though. I kinda felt ripped off.

Most people who promote would know that is a pub. Any pub's in Vancouver are only licensed till 1am. Not sure how anyone wouldn't know that.

You can apply for a special extended license. That would be the responsibilty of the promoter with permission from the venue.

I don't think this hurts upcoming events, but it isn't all to blame on the venue owner.

last I checked the Waldorf was outside the extended hours planned area and not eligible for the 3AM extension. I could be wrong.

When I have petitioned for an extension in the past, it is my responsibility to contact the city with the bar's permission.

It was up to the promoter to do. Not the bar.

Had I been in that position, I would have checked the license with the city as I wouldn't have taken his word for it.

Maybe my standards are too high. But that is just how I would have handled all of it.

MAN, effing waldorf. i loved seeing benny page but i really, reaaaaly supremely disliked that venue.

and that is a wikked avatar you have dabbler,thats the best one ive seen in a long time. ive been fascinated by that sequnence for some time, the whole 'mathematical observastion of creation and growth' type thing....really cool.

i didn't know it was a pub. never heard of a four room pub with years of history of throwing events until 2... never would have crossed my mind given that history.
