but yes, you're certainly right about that... very saddening.

inbound and outbound links are important for search engine optimization, for better placement in the search engines.. so hopefully when someone types "raves in vancouver" fnk is on top...

everybody needs to eat... even free forums need to generate some type of revenue to be able to cover the expenses...

a dedicated server running a forum isn't free.... there are overhead costs that need to be covered...

now the placement can be moved... and still keep the advertisers happy... if they were at the top or bottom, the advertisers would still be getting the same amount of ad impressions as if they were on the left hand side like they are now.

maybe distribute them... have some at the top and some at the bottom so it's not so clustered and an eye sore

^ i agree, things aren't free.. and it definitely makes sense to be indexed through all search engines.. i just don't think that anything from fnk should be posted on digg, haha.

advertising is fine. i just would love to be able to switch it to classic so it didn't feel so damn bloated.

I find it to be way too bright and chunky. I also don't like how the mods have been totally going nazi on anything that is said that somewhat has an opinion to it. One of my posts got closed because I said someone was a mess at shine.

It's kind of ridiculous and it's turning me off this site day by day at a fairly rapid pace. I don't really understand the "vision" that the moderators have behind the "new" fnk, but I don't think it's shaping up to be what this forum is mostly used for: entertainment. I would suggest posting something on here... expectations of whatever, but something. It's like bam the new bubble layout hits fnk and now we are sheep, with no opinion and a gay karma system that doesn't even say why your post was voted down.

I just wanna add that I flippin hate the new layout, and it makes me not wanna go to FNK ever again... ^__^ hopefully it gets much MUCH MUCH better, soon.
