He never pursued higher education, and he was never happy with being "just a carpenter". IMO, a lot of people sell themselves short in terms of their intelligence when they go into tradeswork because they get caught up in the money and don't push themselves toward higher achievements.

you do know that some people actually prefer to do shit like construction. As long as they are happy id hardly call it selling themselves short.

What women are more attractive too is one thing, but lets not go on a tangent on the worth of a construction worker.

Trades are VERY valuable skills that a lot of ppl cant master. Yes there are some guys who think "nice 16hr sign me up", but when it comes to the trades industry there are lots of places you can go if your dedicated and determined to master your skill. The more experince and skill you have the higher your pay. Lazy nimrod types dont get that far. Not to mention if you understand business well enough you could eventually own your own company and earn even more.

Trades have a high archy with skill and experince like jobs that compete with education on paper.
