SO!!

Which do you prefer?

-the corporate guy? complete with briefcase and suit... Many times drunk with corporate success but he's confident, always has a clean shave and commands the air around him. Computer and number smart. Financially well off so he can buy you just about anything you want.



OR

-the manual labor/ construction guy? Compete with tool belt and a tan from working in the hot hot heat. He's usually laid back & likes to drink beer after work. Most likely parties on the weekends. The deeper, intellectual type. Loves fun, and is great with his hands, so he can build you just about anything you want.



This just a for fun thread, so don't take it too seriously. I know there are LOTS of other kinds of guys out there and they posses qualities that far outweigh what I have described. But.. given these two options.. which appeals? :D

I thought I explained that pretty well, and considering none of the girls on here are 40... I dont understand how the link to my older thread is even a relevant response to this thread.

i appreciate a guy who has worked hard to get where he is
(not that construction work isn't hard) but i just feel that if i am putting all this time and effort into school it would be nice to be with someone who has done the same.....not necessarily at a university but just well educated...so i suppose its definetely possible to get the best of both worlds ;)

Depends what day it is. It's been proven that when a woman is ovulating, she is most attracted to the husky construction man (who looks like he could get her pregnant), but the rest of the month she goes for the clean-cut type (who could care for a family)

I think the study was done with libido-measuring things and pics of guys, im not sure.

Me, I'd go for the alpha male any day though.

yeah jess, I have to harshly disagree with you. just because a guy does trades work and not something corporate doesnt mean that he isnt smart. he has his own range of skills and expertise, just at the other side of the spectrum. Never did I mean to imply that they are less smart. I personally prefer the trades worker guys by far.

having dated both types.... i'm going to have to say construction guys for now.

the corp guy was too much of a tight ass. didn't like getting dirty. was too materialistic. dressed sort of plain all the time, didn't shave or shower some times for a day or two during the weekend when i was with him. didn't really like going out(wanted to just sit around all weekend) and always worried about money. i also find they are pretty much married to there job and money and u will come #2 if they are really successful.

the construction guy, liked getting dirty;)... didn't mind taking me out with out watching his check book all the time. dressed really nice when he wasn't at work. shaved during the weekend and didn't during the work week(when i didn't see him much). and loved going out for the weekends...walks, camping, party, beach, dates.

and let me tell you , the body on a construction working is almost always sexy and they love massages;)
