Remember when kanye crashed Justice winning the 2006 best video award...

Well in this clip Kanye suddenly thinks Justice's video D.A.N.C.E is "genius"

Or did he just say that because it was directed by the guy who did his new video?

What you dont notice the similarity between them? If he didnt use the same directer/producer... than he clearly used the same idea, style, effects as the Justice video.


Im trying to find solid proof that either the same director/producers were involved with both videos. Found on much music, So Me directed Kanye's and Jonas & François directed Justice's. However google seems to pop up a lot of quotes of ppl claiming Kanye is using the same director.

Thats what I was thinking. The illustrations was what I found so obvious and had to be done by the same person.

to be fair... Kanye never said he didn't like 'we are your friends'... in fact i think he even said he liked it, he just thought that his video deserved to win. or, more likely, he just saw an opportunity to stir some shit up & get some publicity.

not really ironic... the 'we are your friends' and the 'd.a.n.c.e.' video are pretty different. his excuse was that he was drunk, but he was probably a little more than that, combined with an already inflated ego.

again, another aspect of his brilliance.

-> kanye west creates what he thinks is the best video ever (touch the sky)
-> kanye loses to someone he's probably never heard of and a video he's never seen
-> kanye says hmmm, if this is what they want then this is what i'll give them
-> kanye tries to out do justice's d.a.n.c.e. video, but fails. However since about 90% of the people who listen to kanye don't even know who justice is (not saying that justice isn't known, just that suburban white kids from the states really don't know what's going on), he looks like an innovator and the white kids go crazy
-> for all the people who know about the dance video, or had just found out about it from people "in the know", it creates such a buzz that everyone now has to watch kanye's video.

this is probably one of my least favorite tracks from graduation, which to me is quite ironic that aside from stronger, it's getting a lot more attention than it should.
