overall though, people who are thorough with their english can compensate for lousy grammar.

i guarantee you it'd be harder for chinese to understand chinese s-kiddie speak cos it'd use a combo of english and chinese. tho persian and arabic would make excessive use of latin characters.

i'm wouldn't use poor written grammar as a guide to separate the good from the bad. overall behavior could be a guide and you are learning about that now.

to me basic grammar is common sense.
it's not something i put any thought in to, the way i type is ACTUALLY the way i talk.
but at the same time, somehow it makes sense. as much sense as it would if i cared enough to pay attetion to sentance structure.

so to me, basic grammar is common sense, and those who show a serious lacking in grammar skills probably lack in common sense.



that all said, i've learned now that common sense is really not all that common.
