the thing is alcohol withdrawal has symptomsthat are very similar to diabetes. so i gave that shit up and it appears that i actually have type 2 diabetes or hypoglycemia, which is dope because it just means i need to start working out again and watch my diet.

however, im also entering addiction counselling because diabetes and addiction runs in my family and it appears that im genetically fucked in both regards. my ultimate hope is that i can stop getting retarded every weekend, barring that ill probably have to stop taking all intoxicants forever.

There's a guy in my class who can't drink anymore. He didn't explain much other than to say that "bad things happen" when he gets sauced. Which I can imagine, because he's fairly loud and unruly when he's dead sober.

One of the things I got blood work for was diabetes. I check my blood sugar pretty regularly at work, though, so I doubt it. It also doesn't run in my family.

+/- charge nurse on my unit the last eight shifts in a row. getting the hang of it now. stressful, but i get to use my assertiveness a lot, so i think i love it.
