one thing to consider is social engineering via the dumb secret personal questions lots of sites use as a security measure

hacker adds you on facebook
hacker looks up your pet/relative/school name/postal code
hacker steals your hotmail account with all the password confirmation emails from your bank you never deleted

All you have to do is think... do I mind letting the worse person ever getting a hold of this information or photos of me? If you dont mind, than let it all go out on facebook.

Other than that, I had a friend who had some of their personal photos used in advertisements with out permission. But you cant fight it because any photo you post on facebook, gives all rights to facebook.

Uh, the photo's that were used in advertisments were not because of facebook. What happened was he installed a 3rd party app, and when he installed that app, he gave permission for all of his facebook info to be used by that company. Hence the ads.

The ads were against facebook's terms of service, and Facebook actually deleted it all. ASK DLS: ad using photo was from a third party app, is Facebook off the hook?
