it seems like your annual MTV music awards has more budget and entertainment value than our highly vaunted olympics that was like 7 fucken years in the making????

here's just a sample from 2003 that has a cool singing/guitar duel towards the end that's more raw and has more feeling than that 4 hour multicultural snoozefest at the opening...



that compared to cheesy eurovision type shit thats supposed to make us 'proud', that was so preoccupied with being diverse and non-offensive that the offering was pure milquetoast doing nothing to pump me for some cut-throat action. instead i felt like i was being conditioned to become a world citizen.

we need swagger and hype. NBC did a surprisingly good job hyping the American vs Canadian hockey final.
