Year of the Roasted Ear by... someone. Funny, light, travel book.
The Artificial Silk Girl by (Ingrid?) Kreun. I love German fiction!

currently reading:
Third Class Ticket by... someone, about a group of very poor, isolated villagers in India who are given the chance to tour their country in a third class railway car. Love it so far.
Jonathan Strange & Mr Norell. I CAN'T get into it. blah.
East of Eden by Steinback. ^ditto.

i really want to read the curious incident of the dog in the nighttime, and guns, germs, and steel, before i leave.

-Visits From a Drowned Girl by Steven Sherrill

Still working on:
-The Psycho Ex Game by Merrill Markoe and Andy Prieboy
-Life of Pi by Yann Martel

I am looking for some recommendations. I'm up for anything really, although I'm hoping the next book I pick up will be a psychological crime thriller, triad/yakuza related or something along those lines.

lithe - the curious incident of the dog in the time is a great book. different, but wonderful. i loved it.


right now i'm reading "runaway: diary of a street kid" by evelyn lau. i've been wanting to read this book for a while, but i could never seem to get my hands on it (until i ordered it off the interweb). so far, so good. should be finished soon.

i don't have enough time to read. damn full time jobs.
