That Nick Berg Al Qaeda beheading movie
These guys have certainly raised the bar for demeaning pictures/videos. Anyone seen it?? It's on Kazaa and I highly recommend you don't eat popcorn when you watch it. Search for Nick Berg beheading. It hits home because hes only in his 20's.
RIP man....  WEST CHESTER, Pennsylvania (AP) -- The family of a businessman who was beheaded after he was captured in Iraq cried Tuesday when they learned details of his videotaped death. A video posted Tuesday on an al Qaeda-linked Web site showed the beheading of Nick Berg, 26, of West Chester, Pennsylvania, whose family last heard from him April 9. It said the execution was carried out by an al Qaeda-affiliated group to avenge the abuse of Iraqi prisoners by American soldiers. Berg's family said earlier Tuesday that they were told by the U.S. State Department that Berg was found dead near a highway overpass in Baghdad on Saturday. When told of the video by an Associated Press reporter, Berg's father, Michael, and his two siblings hugged and cried. They knew he had been decapitated, but didn't know the details of the killing. "I knew he was decapitated before. That manner is preferable to a long and torturous death. But I didn't want it to become public," Michael Berg said. Berg's mother, Suzanne Berg, said her son was in Iraq as an independent businessman to help rebuild communication antennas. Berg owned a communications equipment company, Prometheus Methods Tower Service Inc., she said. "He had this idea that he could help rebuild the infrastructure," she said. The military said Tuesday that an American civilian was found dead in Baghdad, but did not release his name. Suzanne Berg said the family had been trying for weeks to learn where her son was but that federal officials had not been helpful. "I went through this with them for weeks," she said. "I basically ended up doing most of the investigating myself." Berg was in Baghdad from late December to February 1 and had returned to Iraq in March. He didn't find any work and planned again to return home on March 30, but his daily communications home stopped on March 24. He later told his parents he was jailed by Iraqi officials at a checkpoint in Mosul. "He was arrested and held without due process," Michael Berg told the Daily Local News of West Chester. "By the time he got out, the whole area was inflamed with violence." On March 31, the FBI interviewed Berg's parents in West Chester. Jerri Williams, a spokeswoman for the Philadelphia FBI office, told The Philadelphia Inquirer the agency had been "asked to interview the parents regarding Mr. Berg's purpose in Iraq."

yeah i dont know if i'd ever want to watch something like that... i saw the beginning part of it on tv where he states his name and his parents' names... just watching that was hard because i knew what came after

this guy i always see at starbucks was watching it on his notebook today... i walked by and heard some weird sounds coming from his computer so i was like wtf was that! and he's like HEY WATCH THIS, IT'S THE VIDEO OF WHAT'S ON THE FRONT PAGE OF THE PAPER. so i watch it and i'm like WTF!!!! why do people make videos of that shit.

it's unfortunate, but i have a feeling the iraqi's have seen much more graphic things in the last year or so. except they get to watch it live. and it's probably a relative.
edit: he's a contractor. in other words he chose to go there, to make money. so i don't give a fuck if he died. that's if he's a "good" contractor. chances are he was a mercenary, and if he was then i say good riddance. Last edited by Hot Karl; May 13, 04 at 01:17 PM.

Oh god, I do NOT want to see that. I can't even think what it must have been like for him. I feel so bad for his family. Not only that but for them to know that a video of their son/friend/brothers death is going around must be so upsetting.
People are fucked up. Just the thought of that makes me feel sick. If I watched it I'd never be able to sleep again

WHO IN THE RIGHT MIND WOULD FUCKING ***CHOOSE*** TO GO TO IRAQ?! I'm sorry but when your Country has a rep like the USA would you go traipsing through the Middle East? Not me... I'm quite attached to my Head and am looking forward to keeping it.

hrm.
watched it. to know that was real. them actually cutting, chopping, through the bone.. the knife blade going back and forth through his neck then pulling at his head, trying again because they couldent pull it off.. Everyone who knows me knows I am extremely morbid. i've never been sick to my stomach seeing something like that before. And I have seen some fucked up shit while eating a turkey sandwhich. Wow.

I don't think he went there JUST to make money. He believed that what he was doing was right, i.e. spreading technology in a war-torn country. If any of you have read other articles about Nick Berg, then you will know that he has travelled to other third world countries just to help out. E.g. He went to Ghana to teach people there how to make bricks with limited resources. The story goes that when he came back to the US, he was super skinny because he gave away all his food to the poor people. To me, it doesn't look like his Ghana trip was very profitable.
To you cold-hearted bastards that say "good riddance" to his death... man u are one sick fuck. I'd like to extend a big "FUCK YOU" to whoever says that. Nobody deserves to get his head SAWWED (sp.) off like that. It was just disgusting. We're not even talking about getting ur head chopped off in one motion. We're talking about 5 psychos SAWWING off his head as if it were a piece of steak. What did this guy do to ever deserve that?? "Awwww.... he was there to make money, so he deserves to die." What kinda BS is that?! Whoever believes this has absolutely no compassion for human life.

I watched it expecting a guillotine style swift beheading, and was unpleasantly surprised when it turned out to be a 45 second affair of sawing the guys head off with a 10" knife while he was screaming and gurgling. If you do watch it I'd recommend doing so with the volume off.
