Currently they're looking for this nerd...
A transit bus parked outside Waterfront Station is behind police lines, and several people may have to be decontaminated because of a hazardous materials scare. News1130's Michael McLaughlin is one of several media people who has been quarantined. The drama began around 2:00 this afternoon on the bus, which was heading to Vancouver from Richmond. The driver and a passenger became sick on the journey, and some mysterious brown pellets were found on the bus. Those pellets are believed to be the source of the problem. A couple of ambulance attendants also became ill after responding to the initial 911 call. It was at that point that the police were called and a criminal investigation began. A HazMat team is cleaning the bus. It appears that everyone who felt sick is starting to feel better thanks to some fresh air. Stay tuned to News1130 for the latest on this breaking news story.
