Holy crap... I just saw a shooting....

About 6:20 this morning I was still in bed and I heard this woman screaming 'OW....Stop....help..' over and over. My gf and I woke up and really had no idea what the hell was going on. She screamed again and I jumped out of bed, threw my pajamas on backwards and was ready to go jump over our fence to help. I was assuming, of course, that some girl was just getting beat up and that I could actually help her. As I got outside I saw a guy in a camo jacket pull up a gun and shoot this woman from like 10 ft away. She ran across the street towards my house and he shot her like 6 more times or something. This was so close to my place that I have bullet holes in my fence right across from my patio...

Police come and the guy runs up into the bushes directly across from my place. When he came back out of the bushes he went to his truck and casually stood there for like 5 min while there were police all around. He gets in the truck and casually lights a smoke and puts on his seatbelt.

At the same time Karen is on 911 and the operator tells her 'We're getting a lot of calls from Port Moody right now so it'll be a few minutes.' Karen tells her that shes looking at the guy right now. They patched her right through to the police on scene. Karen told the police he was sitting in his truck facing up Heritage Mtn Blvd and is gettingready to drive away. I'm still watching outside and the police suddenly come flying up the hill. The guy pulls a u-turn and passes me. Another cop in an Explorer blocks him off. He goes around that cop and we don't see him again.

We put on the news and he ended up in PoCo at Lougheed and Oxford. He had hit two cars, and been rear ended by a police cruiser. At that point he got out of his car and got into a shoot out with the police. The news doesn't have anymore info yet on what else happened.

When the poor woman was getting shot there were two people walking their dogs who were right beside her too. Talk about being in the wrong place at the wrong time.. Anyways.... there is a police helicopter flying over right now and about 15 cop cars investigating the scene around my place. Its no way to have to wake up in the morning thats for sure. I just hope that the woman is ok and that the son of a bitch got what he deserved.......

I'm notorious for trying to play hero in situations like that too.... Bradleyt and myself have been in more than one confrontation over a guy beating up his woman and such. When ther is a gun involved its a bit of a different story. I was hiding behind my fence trying to see as much as possible. The police talked to me earlier and told me not to go anywhere ans they'll be having lots of questions for me today.

we have had alot of grow op's next door and one ended up wiuth a guy holding a gun to a babies head and there were dogs and big guns and it was scarey, and i had a highspeed car chase end in my back yard, where the guy got thrown down and suffed and shit there. but never something like that.
