My grad was lame... i hated it.
i only had 1 girlfriend who was my age and we never were at school. the kids in our class were fuckin retards. that year i got really into djing. i only think i attended 3 or 2 days a week. i suprisingly graduated thanx to all the art electives i took, they told me i didnt have to be in class, cuz i lived on my own and had to hitch to school everyday. lol. good times.. my pictures are really sweet, my dress was lime green. ill post one if i ever find one.

Honestly I dont think it makes a huge differnece if you spend $100-$800 on a dress. Maybe even a fancy cocktail dress may be nice? Its dam sexy and somthing you can use again on really special occations.
Most girls I knew did their own make up... some had a free one at mac. For hair make a reg appointment that lands the day of grad... mention grad and maybe your hair dresser can be extra sweet ;) ? Even then alot of my freinds did their own hair too. Shoes are worth investing in unless your getting ones to match your dress only. Limo comapnies are really takign advantage of grads these days. They charged us a min 8 hours when really we were in it 6-630 and 12-1. $100 for each of us :/ Its grad... and feeling it or not try to make the best of it. I felt pretty glum near the end and didnt care. Looking back I wish I went out a lill more just for fun as I wont get another day like that for a long time.

It is depressing. All worked up for one night. Its a disapointment. But think about it like this. You get to look smoking hot and have all your friends giving you compliments and that is the one day that you don't have to be modest at all.

Oh man I want to do grad over again each year. And not because I didn't have a good time. Just that I loved getting all dressed up. I keep looking at all the new dresses.
But I still love mine. I was going to get this great one from morilee but they didn't sell it in canada so I had mine made. It cost so much though that I couldnt get all the crinolin (sp?) to make it poof out the way I wanted to I had to get a hoop for grad. Which makes me sad because now if I try and wear it it looks a little flat. hahaha the funnyest thing is when people ask where I got the cash to pay for my dress though. We payed for it by selling plant bulbs that were taken from a grow show house that my dad was renovating. hahahaha I also saved money on the limo by getting my dad to drive me and my friends around all night in a excursion. It was so nice of him. My parents went all out to help me with grad. awww my dress :)  I think I'm going to be one of those people with their grad dress still in the coset when i'm older. And then I'll be on one of those clean sweep shows and they will all be like. " are you ever going to wear this again???" and I'll be like YES JUST DON'T TAKE IT FROM ME!!!!!!!!! lol :p Last edited by Kandyapple; Feb 07, 05 at 08:32 PM.

yah like I said never getting rid of it. its funny this girl from my grad class tried to go in and buy it even though it was being custom made. It was on the display one day and they told her it was mine. She came up to me at grad and was like. I tried to pay them to give it to me!!! LOL

I hated my dress when I saw it.. I was like ewww black and white.. then my bf was like sorry hun thats your dress and the ladies were all like clapping and swarming me. they were way too cute.. def give that place a 10+
