^I don't advise that you go into this unless you actually contact the dancesafe organization and do it officially. If you are going to represent them and try to actually help out you need to be properly educated on all the fact and fiction.

yeah when it started it was well put together. they had educated people at the tables.

but at the end of the run of 'dancesafe' it turned to being a bunch of ravers who just wanted to get to the party without paying, so they volunteered.

everyone was using the reason 'i'm with dancesafe, i didn't pay for this party' while they popped some drugs

Dancesafe was about education not prevention. Learn what it is your putting into your body, use in moderation, protect yourself with what you can. While I guess it may seem hypocritical I don't think it's really so bad. As long as said people used the same moderation and principles they educated on.

Granted a lot of them probably didn't so you may have me there.

I know what dancesafe was about.

I'm saying a lot of kids didn't. they just used it as an in into parties. and they would get like 5 kids to run the booth, and there would be the ONE person at the table that stayed there all night that really was there for the cause. while the other 4 were running around riverside with their friends

I'm not.

I like the idea of dancesafe and I support it.

I just think that in the world, the authorities don't apprieciate what is being done. They don't want pill testing. plus if the dancesafe crew is caught with a pill then they are fined for it.

I wonder if you could set up a booth at a checkpoint and sell the pill testers. so that kids test them in their cars or somewhere without authorites watching them.

I also don't like kids using 'volunteering at a booth' just to get into a party, and then don't actually volunteer.

I assure you my dear carrie, that anyone who is involved in this new chapter will NOT be let into the party, to party. They will be let in to hand out information and work the tables. and yes, i concur, i do not think that pill testing is a real possibility in the beginning, we need to set ourselves up with a platform of key messages first.
