WTF: Black Eyed Peas at Best Buy?!

So apparently the Black Eyed Peas are doing a free showing for the grand opening of the electronics giant's new store at Cambie and 6th tommorow... kinda weird if you ask me.

Apparently it would seem as though they have to do anything their label tells em to.

Im so god damnit sick of hearing about the Black Eyed Peas.
They are OVERPROMOTED and their cd is wack.
Their single 'Dont Phunk With My Heart' is so PLAYED it disgusts me.

No offense to anyone who likes them, its just my opinion.

I don't like/dislike them very much... I just think it's funny that such a large musical ensemble is opening a Best Buy in VanCity.

Very good point, but on the way to work my mind isnt functioning right just yet, and im too lazy to reach over and throw in a cd, and honestly, 2pac at 7am on the way to work just doesnt work for me.

And yeah, the black eyed peas opening up for Best Buy wow, thats funny :p

(promotionl ,same type of deal as deep dish at virgin on monday)

Sweat shop union just had their new album realised, and again, same type of deal..

Don't you think though that it might be a little ironic that a group called the "Sweat Shop Union" is perfoming at the grand opening of big box retailer whose many products are manufactured in countries that typically do not pay their workers very much money.

Don't get me wrong, I like them and have for a while, and if I was them I would probably jump at the chance to open for the BEPs as well even if it was at Best Buy, but either way it's kinda funny (not in a haha way).

There will probably be mad amounts of ppl in the line up just to get a stupid wrist band to see the BEP for free. BEP is way to mainstream for me and all their songs sound the same. I rather see someone who has some talant and pay to see them, like BT and Above and Beyond tomorrow.
