Canucks just don't have Wild's number.. wild play a tight defensive trap and they are excellent shot blockers.. a wide open fast paced team like Canucks just can't get any energy/pressure goin on with a team like that. same thing happened last year. although I do really like Auld, and I'd like to see him get a lot more starts this season just to see what he's really made of cloutier is just too streaky.. at the same time we havne't seen Auld take the Canucks on a full season so its hard to call.

did you guys even watch the game? see how bad the WHOLE team played. we were outshot, outplayed, and our defense....haha what defense? we looked like a fuckin circus tonight on the ice.

Did the canucks play bad, yes they did
Did cloutier play bad, yes he did Has that happened before, Yes it has Was the goalie the first to blame, Yes he was. Its just the nature of the fan-base that the goalie gets attacked first, its the easyest thing to do. Cloutier is a good goaltender. Period. His problem is that he is very streaky and lacks consistensy. But is still one of the better tenders in the leaque. Granted the canucks are a talented team but they wouldnt have gotten where they are with a wet paper towel in net. The canucks have never been a great defencive power, so they have always had to rely on big offence to win and they didnt get it tonight. Boston won a game with 6 goals scored on them. And whos to say we aren't as talented of a team. Auld is a solid keeper, hes big, he has great positioning, and he has yet to badly let the team down. As it stands he is a great backup. What sets Cloutier apart from auld, in my eyes, is rebound controll. In the new NHL It is a lot harder to move someone from the slot or crease area. I saw Iggy dominate infront of the net, because no one on our team could touch him. He scored a beautiful goal on Auld on that play. Against detroit I saw countless pucks, first of all get to the net because of poor shot blocking (the canucks are not that great at blocking shots) then auld would make the initial save only to let out a rebound straight up the middle for anyone to pick up and have their way with. Yes we won that game but it was a team effort, it always is. Cloutier is very good at swollowing up rebounds and i think that will become more and more valuable. Rolison ( i dont know how to spell his name) played a great game, and every shot that hit him went exactly where he wanted it. No where near a canuck player. He played a solid game, but we cant give the win to just him. Just like we cant give cloutier the loss. Lets just remember that the season is 4 games old. After a 17month period without hockey. Listen, The Canucks have played 4 games now and have been outplayed for ovre half the time they've been on the ice.
Before you blame Cloutier don't forget there was a big 0 on the Canucks end. Bertuzzi and Morisson are non existant right now. They have completely vanished. I believe Crawford made a mistake in not playing Bertuzzi in the perseason as much as he should have. Cloutier kept his team in it with great saves for a while but the Canucks never did respond.. What happened to the Canucks PP that was so dominent in the Pre-season? The Canucks are in a slump right now, it could be because it's their first road trip in a year in a half... not sure what I'm talkin about? look at the Calgary Flames and their troubles they've started with this season. It's 4 games in .... no need to jump off the wagon yet guys. Also, for the guy who I think is on roids, OMG Auld started in net and won a game and Cloutier started in net and lost a game. CLEARLY that must mean Auld is better then him. LMAO... It's a new season, a new beginning yet you Canuck fans always seem to pin blame on one person or one factor. It's intresting.

his knees are like rusty hinges, the dopes like wd40. After 3 seasons his knees are so fucked. Watch any game all he does is go down on his knees. The shot hasn't even been taken, he's on his knees. Every fuckin shot he goes down. His career was over a year ago. Seriously watch him next time. Everyone knows all ya gotta do is roof it on him n he's fucked. Soooo sick of him. Auld is gonna help us beat Mini-Choda just watch.

first of fucking all, you guys are nuts.
blame dan. that's all people have to say. the canucks were fucking pathetic last night. is cloutier to blame on our lack of offensive chances and output? how about the giveaways at center ice creating chances for the wild? how about getting schooled while on the pp twice when minny gets a textbook shorthanded breakaway? did anyone see bertuzzi out there? even morrison was invisible? the canucks sucked so fucking bad, nazzy wasn't even playing with the big line. jarkko was getting pp time when we were down 1 and 2. THINK ABOUT THAT. re: auld. i just wanna remind everyone again that auld lost his starting job to 37yr old wade flaugherty last year during the playoffs in the ahl. so relax before you act like he's gonna be this instant success. plenty of current young goalies have had much more success on much worse teams then auld.
