the martin liberals would probably be pretty friendly if they didnt have to rely on the ndp for support.

the conservatives would be pretty friendly too, hell they were willing to go to war in iraq for fear of damaging our trade relations with the U.S. So just be aware of the trade offs you have to make.

my own opinion on the matter is thatsince nearly all politicans are only interested in satisfying their own vested interest that corruption is inevitable. also this scandal shouldnt be much of a suprise given the unique culture of business in quebec, kickbacks/signing bonuses are typically routine and expected. the decision on who to vote for should be based more on their policies, cuz they gonna fuck up one way or another.

I fully understand the sentiment about having to vote for the lesser evil. But realistically, our vote doenst really represent our needs and demands as a society. So reallistically a vote perpetuates this vicious cylce, unless you are looking into the long term and getting involved in social grassroots movements TODAY.

So if and when this vote comes around, do what you will with your vote, but understand it is no longer enough.

I was speaking more in terms of minsitry heads. Like you touch on later, how is that people like Jean Chretien were minsters of indegenous affairs in the past? Why would our environmental minister not be someone like David Sazuki? Im not implying that lawyers and economists are complete dolts, but theres too much self interest and not off enough comprehensive background on the department they are heading. Yes, theyre about managment, and they have there "professionals" on said department, but really, who are we kidding, if we make everything about dollars and profit, there will be nothing left to profit off, except maybe human blood?

i totally understand and agree with you man. But in essence i come from a belief that if we believe that the current governmental constructs have nothing to do with the wellbeing of the majority of people, then wouldnt it be more effecient to completely bring it down, rather than try to reform it?

Please note, im not talking in immediete terms, i was expressing a few thoughts or more accurately ideals for structural and logistical realities that will finally begin to lead to a government that is really only responsible for the distribution of goods. But that wont happen in my time.

i will mos def vote man, dont get me wrong, but i will also be out there with the social movements of our city and making sure people understand current realities and beleifs of the "government" we are electing.
