Depending on what career path you want to take, the G.E.D. might save you alot of stress and time, yet still give you what you need to get into post secondary program. Its a 7 hour test that takes very minimal studying if you have confidence in the areas. I only studied the math section briefly and i passed (with flying colours) :). It's pretty easy.. A hell of alot easier than correspondence courses or showing up everyday for highschool courses at the community college.

that's always been on the back of my mind, but someone told me that it's quite expensive. I'm working in a kitchen right now at the Old Settler Pub here, and the chef mentioned when he hired me that I could start apprenticing some time this year if I want, so my career choice would definately allow it. not to badly influence your "jumping on education" or anything, but school is free for anyone who hasn't achieved their dogwood. ..well except for student fees which are like $30 and then the cost of books which you are refunded 75% back after they get their books back.


as for the post.. i wasn't really bullied too much at all cause i was pretty freakin quiet through highschool.. but there were those odd girls who would pick on me.. i was titled "ice princess" because i dated this guy for 2 weeks and didn't kiss him (sooorry if i didn't want my first kiss to be in a hall way of my highschool with everyone around... like how romantic is that?)
and the same girl who gave me that title apparently wanted to kick my ass cause we both liked the same guy or whatever..DRAMA!


other then that i was a floater.. i had friends in every group... except the uber uber nerds who locked themselves in the computer labs at lunch time who were automatically mean to you cause they thought you were going to be mean to them.. or the ones who ran around the halls playing 'cat and mouse'.. things like that were a little too much for me to deal with.

i hung out with the people who were 'cool' (cookie cutter) up til maybe grade 10.. then one day i was like.. ok, i've had enough of these people.. they are boring and they suck, and you can't be yourself.. and then i started hanging out with the skaters (who were kinda considered as outcasts) and had a blast with them everyday. We were made fun of and the guys were picked on sometimes by the rednecks.. but we just laughed cause we could see how sheltered they were

ahhh maple ridge.. where AC/DC and metallica is played at every party.. and the guys go out looking for "coloured people" to go and beat up

After you are 19, it is up to the principle and superintendent's discretion as to whether they will accept you into highschool, and you have to pay for correspondance and college at that point. Or at least that's what they told me.

And that sounds a lot like Fort Nelson.. There's nothing wrong wtih AC/DC and Metallica, but they HAVE become poster bands for redneck society. (At least it's not Lynard Skynard at the parties though.. racist fucks)

I thought I would have left that mentality back in Fort Nelson, but it seems that it's everywhere now.

Being bullied sucks but everyone can do something about it if they chose to. The thing is what's the point of picking on someone who is weaker than you or different. It doesn't make you kewl or anything.

Also the three guys that threw a piece of concrete with a rebar at the guys knee, now that's just messed up, just show's how big of pussies they were, pathetic. I'm suprised he didn't bring a knife to school or something. If someone done that to me I'd be at school with a steel baseball bat and my rottweiler, getting me some. I wouldn't even care about getting suspended. Those guys seriously deserve to get their ass kicked.

The test only costed me 60$ . the study guide i got to prepare for it was 40$. You might be able to sign those out at the library tho. I hardly used it, it isn't really necessary unless you've been out of school for a long time.

you can go to any college or adult education centre and have next to nothing fees to finish your highschool education..

I don't think we really need to refer this just to ''high school'' either, its life in general thats like that...Everywhere you go everyone picks on someone even if you might not realize it yourself, that probably even you have crualy picked on someone once, I think it is what we survive for...Now Im not saying that picking on someone in particular is a good reason, and that the person acting has always good reasons..
I just believe that the kitten will never survive in the jungle without a daily lesson...
