Dude you must have some misconceptions about townhouses. Even though you own the place doesnt mean you can get away with loud music and rolling blunts all day.A detached house or apartment would be more suitable. Single men arent the type of people that live in townhouses, usually families

But the housing market in Vancouver is going to come crashing down within the next 6-10 years. There is no way it can sustain its current growth, be careful what you expect :)

its not like its going to come crashing down. Yeah the housing market here is priced considerably higher than anywhere else in north america but 6 - 10 years is a long time. No one can predict what is going to happen in 6 -10 years. That being said the value of my home has gone up 20 000 in the last 6 months.

Revolver: I always thought that appliances stores are where you buy appliances. You buy groceries at supermarkets, Furniture at furniture stores, and shoes at shoe stores. Why not buy from a store that specializes in what you´re buying.

meh. ppl have been saying this since I bought my place in 2003. It's doubled in value.

As long as there is foreign market buying in it will continue to boom. I doubt it will crash, more slow down and come to a stop.

It's always depressing when I find out I could own a 3 br townhouse for what I have in my 1 br apt... but then I remember how unhappy I would be living in surrey, plus I'd have to buy a car... Arg. Someone please let me win the lottery so I can buy my million $$ home NOW!

You dont know shit. Whats my neighbour gonna say about me smoking weed in my house? They cant do shit. Plus I cant afford a "nice" detached home cuz it's getting ridiculously expensive, and I like having a big place and a garage, I could never live in a ghey 600 sqft Closet Apt.....
