i don't agree with you that watching TV and commercials makes you a sheep (it's how you react to them, i suppose). but i do agree with downloading television. the only reason i'm going to be getting a TV in the future is so i can watch DVD's and downloaded TV shows on it instead of my tiny laptop screen.

cable is a waste of money and time to me...but some people enjoy it, so who cares? what skin off your nose is it if someone likes watching a couple hours of TV when they get home? we have larger social issues to worry about than whether some joe or jane likes to unwind in front of the boob tube at night.

Yes, because people are so open to suggestion here. I thought this was a "rave" forum, but this place is bursting with corporate whores and barstars. Maybe one in five people I've talked to on here even comes close to a decent, compassionate human being. I obviously don't care any more if I reach the rest. Let them think for themselves. What makes me different is I know I'm sheep. We're all sheep in one way or another. The point then is to be aware of it and try to minimize the negative sideeffects of it (such as not eating fast food, using public transportation, donating time/money to worthy charities, buying Jones Soda instead of Pepsi, and so on). Bowing to commercial culture and worshipping celebrities is definitely the wrong way to go. Whatever...just know you can't hate me until you meet me. You'd be surprised how charming I can be.
