let me know how it goes because i was seriously considering infantry with the cf. but theres no way in hell id manage a ruck march with 35kilos of bullshit on me for 13km. but shit dude, id love to join the CF it would be an awesome job.

im currently building myself up by working out and lifting weights but only harder and faster, im taking the USMC as my guide.

my family friend was a non-combat in the marine and he had to go through some shit even as an athlle d an natural leader he's leaving because he loves a shorty and the usmc dont give that to you unless you need it.

all marines are combat and slay fools left and right, that shit is gangsta, im a big time liberal but i wish our armed forces' was even more gangsta then they are now.

You talk about the Marines like they're superior soldiers. You should take the Canadian regiments as your guide like the seaforth highlanders, blackwatch, or princess patricias canadian light infantry to name a few. Forget about those Americans and take pride in your country's military tradition, second to none.

For what it's worth, troop for troop we've got one of the best trained militaries in the world across the board. But it's not like the states where they'll allow just about anybody in, particularly in times of war. Selection processes are fairly rigid, and you'll need to submit to deep background checks, physical testing just to show that you're at least in basic shape, not to mention rigid drug testing.

Where soldiers of each nationality serve is beside the point, they're all putting themselves in harms way. I'm just pointing out that the Marines aren't better soldiers which is what you implied.

I don't see anywhere he implied that the marines were any more badass than any other portion of the military, just that marines were badass in general.

I'm on my way to becoming a licensed property manager. I was thinking of perusing a career in marketing, however I can still do this while managing commercial real estate, as its in high demand and also appears to be a recession proof industry. People need to set up shop somewhere. I will be done my studies in under a year and I'm guaranteed work once I'm finished.

If you're a people person and shot caller, its worth just looking into to see if it suits you.

nah dude, ebbo was right, i basically think the usmc are badass so is the cf but unfortunately we dont have a decent budget to get them equipment as dope as the usmc has.

canada politics should be all about what we are now, with the mad huggles decent social programs and decent taxes, but since we have some much dope shit we should also spent alot more money on our military because we're kidding ourselves if we think that people wont try and take our stuff.

we all in a fantasy world if we think our military is peacekeepers or should be, they're life takers and thats what they do and what we need if shit pops off, its like an insurance policy with guns and tanks.

I can see your point but i still disagree with you. Just because they have more funding to buy more tanks doesn't make them more "badass".

If there was a larger scale war don't underestimate Canada's ability to mobilize a world class fighting force.
