My girlfriend went for Saturday. She said people were so wasted, they couldn't follow the music. A girl in front of her, in the middle of a field full of people while someone was playing, just squatted and pissed, then stood up and kept rocking. Didn't even kick some dirt over it. Unbelievable. What a turdfest this shaped up to be. I'm not at all surprised.

True. People tend to have the common courtesy to at least move over to the trees off to the side instead of pissing right where you stand. And it's not like she couldn't control herself and pissed her pants, like at least two other people my girlfriend saw. She pulled them down and squatted, showing clear intention of peeing in the middle of a crowd. That's fncking disgusting, and something I've never seen in all my trips to Shambhala and Soundwave.

Really? I take it you like the Animal Collective. They alternately bore the hell out of me and mildly amuse me with every other release. Panda Bear's solo album was okay, but that Avey Tare and Kria Brekkan album blew goats (the whole thing was backwards... you shouldn't be able to charge money for that). I wanted to stay it out, but I ended up leaving after The Fiery Furnaces on Sunday. The dust totally mauled my asthma. So many chemicals. NIN and Tom Petty were worth it, though. Wicked sets from Black Mountain, Sam Roberts, Tragically Hip, Booka Shade (took forever to get in that dumb-ass tent, though), and Secret Machines. The infrastructure wasn't there to support this festival and the weirdly mixed crowd was rife with douchebags, so I doubt I'd ever return, but I don't regret going. Regardless, this is not Glastonbury and it won’t ever be.
