For some reason most relation ships I get into are in the long distance category *sigh*
They can work in many different ways as long as you both work through it together. It's defiantly very hard at times wishing they where there with you, but cant aren't. You have to do your best to stay positive and continue to enjoy your own life. Btw Nat we have a lot in common at the moment… defiantly need to book some girl nights out together :Y:

Im quite surprised with all the negative thoughts about long distance relation ships?
Och scary thought. They are HORRIBLE! And I have thought to have wasted my time with one before. I do hence the idea that were still very young and not married and so seriously committed. A year is a painfully long time, but can also go by fast. I'm too happy with the person im with now and have wanted to be with them for over 2 years and couldn’t imagine dropping out of that for a long time. You know what I mean Nat, and if you really feel the same way I suggest just going with the flow. You never know? Maybe on day he could break a leg or get fired from his job and have to come home early?

Funny thing is, most the people that seem to be speaking out against long distance relationships are stemming from some bad experience in the past (Maryah's is the only one I've read that seems to offer much of constructivity, that's why I say it).
That being said, the point I'm making is that yes, long distance relationships can work given the right set of circumstances. More often than not I find they don't work though. Usually it takes a lot of commitment on both sides of the fence there. If you don't know if the other side has that level of commitment (note: know, not think...) then there's a decent buffer of failure. Also, if you're still figuring out the relationship itself, the distance detaches you even more as the first stages of the relationship, which are pretty important IMHO to the relationship itself, are missed out on and you just get no connection with the person. That being said, it can work.
