girls..
Is anyone on the "SHOT"??
I heard its pretty bad..My friend is on it and she's so mentally imbalanced,i'm pretty sure that's why.She seems to like it better than the pill but from what i've heard it's not that good for you, causes depression or something?? But apparently it has some benefits!!!

i went on the shot and pfft omg i hated it! i had spotting on and off for 3 months in the summer! it was horroble... i was also pretty moody! for the love of god.. jus take the pill!

if you have a history of depression, you shouldnt take the shot, or at least discuss it with your doctor.....now as far as the shot goes its not all that great for everyone....I know many people who have tried it myself included.....my one friend had spotting for a year straight......and it took 4 months for her to get back to normal when she gave up on it....another gf of mine loves the shot and just experienced some spotting in the first month and then she said her rag comes every couple months and is very light. I myself didnt like it because I got very emotional.
also as an after thought my brothers gf got pregnant while she was on the shot.....and she wasnt lieing like some might assume and she didnt mess up her dates or anything because her family doctor was just as bewilderd as the rest of us........it was like a 0.2 % chance of this happening ...it was strange to say the least

the pills driven me into depression too.. I don't think it's exclusive to the shot..
I haven't heard very many positive stories about the shot, and what don't like about it is that you don't have any control over it. Once it's in you, that's it. With the pill on the other hand, you can quit at any time you want..

also it would be really hard to see if u were actually pregnant or not because birthcontrol tests arent really valid when ur on the shot n u wouldnt get ur rag either so u'd be completely messed.

I guess the shot is good for people that have a hard time remembering to take a pill everyday (like me), but i can't stand needles. I'm trying out that new patch thing right now.

it really depends on the person .. u should just ask ur doctor if its rite for u < that sounds like sum kinda commercial :p

ya i would advise against girls takin that shot my ex and her friend both take it and the ex was a phyco on it and her friends had some wierd shit happning to her.

I don't know even 1 person who's had a good experience with it (including myself). Go pill or patch if those are your other options.

my cousin and his (at the time) soon to be wife were using the shot. she got pregnant, and they rushed the wedding.
because this was so close to me, i vote against the shot. ive also heard bad stories about facial hair, but they were "my friend has this friend whos on it..." kind of stories and those are not reliable.
