If you're trying to tell me that the fate of someone's job lies in the hands of a poll made on a forum then I think YOU really need to get your head checked.

Radio personalities , they have rules they have to abide by....Whether its through the FCC , DOC , CRTC , someone is monitoring them and if they say something really brash they can get pulled off the air and/or fired.....OR....if the general public makes a huge hoopla and goes to the media with it , sometimes that results in a radio host losing his job too.

Obviously it doesn't have anything to do with a poll online. However, telling people to go to the CRTC with complaints that they find the show annoying is a waste of time. The CRTC doesn't care for personal taste. It's like calling up the health board to say that you think Pizza hut doesn't make yummy pizza.

If we break actual CRTC rules (FCC? Last time I checked the US wasn't able to enforce their shitty rules on Canadian Broadcasting) then you would have a case on your hands but even then, it would have to be something really bad. And would only fall under a review process. If after review what we aired they might be able to decided that we were out of line (Really Really Rare, would have to involve Racisim sexisim to a very very high degree).

From there we might get a fine, or more likely a warning.

After this process is done a few times, then the station would be in actual trouble. But since this hasn't happened to us yet, it dosen't seem possible. It's a top 40 station, we're don't pull too many crazy stunts.

The station itself decides if the morning show is let go. And since I doubt the station would pull the strongest performing morning show in the city unless shit really went down...

The morning show hasn't done anything to bring the Wraith of the CRTC down. This is why commenting on subjects you have no idea about makes you look kind of silly. I'm not commenting on your intelligence, just the fact your a few provinces away and have never heard the morning show in question.

I love Jackson and Jas, it's too bad that Jas is going on maternity leave next week...

As part of their contract they get a lot of vacation time. They generally take it during the times that a lot of people take time off work so that it's not noticed as much. Like the summer, christmas etc...

The sudden rush of Vacation time in the last couple months is to use it all before the merger erases any banked Vacation time though.

Yeah.

I also seem to be missing the part where I state I was talking specifically about that radio station (which I infact have heard , because satellite radio is a wonderful thing ) ... when really it was just a general comment to ANY radio station really...

It was kind of crazy for me to think that you making these comments in a thread dedicated to a specific station, and telling people to petition against the show had anything to do with this station specifically.

Ps- I'm not exactly sure what station your listening to because we're not on Satellite radio.
