ok, maybe her SISTER isn't on welfare, but think of all the OTHER 15-18 year old girls out there that are single mothers, not because they were led on or tricked into keeping a baby while the father ran off, but because they didn't use the common sense to protect THEMSELVES. we all know guys are notoriously bad at using protection (most guys anyway), so knowing that, there's no excuse. on either side. "i forgot" is not justification enough to have a child that they are not ready to have.

But I always watch out for my little cousin. she's in grade 8 and I talk to her all the time so she doesn't make a dumb move, don't get me wrong you learn from your mistakes, but one super duper mistake and you're up shit creek for the rest of your life... I have many other cousin's but they're all older and know better, or it's already too late. But she's different, I've already got plans for her to become a super model.. lol

Sure i agree with you there. HOWEVER, you were bashing women and now your saying they should protect themselves??Hey shouldn't there be the trust between the two? Obviously yes. If the girl can't trust the guy than she shouldn't even be fuckin with him. Obviously if the girl wants to have a child that means she's lived upto her RESPONSIBILITIES and MATURED enough to understand what mistake she did wrong. My sister decided to keep her child after my mom aquired a film on abortions from the pro life center. My mom has been pro life for years she used to counsel women that had abortions. There's something a few of you need to realize [omni], and something goddessa just mentioned.

Birth control pills, the patch, the shot, condoms, all that.. None of it is 100% effective. A pill can be taken wrong, a condom can break, a missed patch, etc. Even when protection is used PERFECTLY, THERE'S STILL A CHANCE. Don't even go assuming everygirl out there who got pregnant young was too stupid to use protection. The only way to avoid pregnancy 100% is to not have any type of sex at all.

Contraceptives are not 100% effective. Don't go thinking they are because one day you might end up pregnant or getting a girl pregnant.

i did say "THERE ARE OTHERS OUT THERE" that are on welfare and don't know what they're doing. i did acknowledge your sister's position, goddessa.

i know that no contraceptives are 100% effective. i still think that's no excuse to be having a baby and KEEPING it when you are simply not ready. thinking, feeling "mature", etc. is not enough. if you are 15, 16, 17, 18, anywhere in that range of age, you are NOT READY. period. you can't afford to support the child, therefore, you are NOT READY. parents' support doesn't count as being ready, in my eyes. hell, even if you just so happen to be well off and financially stable at age 18 (which is highly unlikely), you're still not mentally and socially prepared for the task of raising a child.

and also, the notion that you'd "bash my face in" in response to my comments, is proof enough of your level of immaturity. i can only hope your sister didn't inherit those traits from you.

d lo: i agree that the child shouldn't be punished in those situations, however, i also don't believe that kids should be keeping babies just because they don't want to have an abortion. you could do more harm than good that way. especially if you try to do it alone.
