Oh I feel the need to comment..............First I agree that long sigs that promote events should NOT be allowed. If your sig is long but describes you or your personality that's great. Promoting an event has it's place and that ladies and gentlemen is not on every single post. I do not see many other promoters with etremly long sigs. Someone mentioned Agro's sig. Well take another look at dave's sig and tell me what party his sig promotes. It doesn't it promotes his peoples beliefs and goals in how people should be. I think most promoters actually post a thread in regards to their event and that's about it. As of lat ebeing the last 2 months the sigs have gotten out of hand and are actually having the reverse effect of GOOD promotions. If you are so concerned about the turn out of your event then do something about it like real promoters. Spamming a thread that is not remotely connected to your event just isn't cool. As has been mentioned several times in this post. If I were an admin on this site and I know the people that are I will be forwarding to them my reccomendation and that is as follow.
NON - PERSONAL SIGS IE:Promo either event or merch will be limited to directing people to a thread that is designed for such purposes. Another words you'll be allowed to state the name of the event and the link for info. That is it no details no ticket prices nothing. This way if people choose to find out more information that is up to them. And beyond popular belief this website was not and is not designed purely so promoters can promote their event. It is a community website designed for people to chat, discuss issues, help each other with problems or situations and create a community around the rave scene and yes part of it to promote upcomming events but it seems people come on here these days more to promote their events than actually to be apart of the community as a whole. If your tag is over 2 sentances or one big pic then I'll admit it does annoy me. Finally don't think that I don't support the promoters because if you ask any of them they'll tell you I care about this scene and the shows that it produces as much if not more than most of the promoters in town. I enjoy working with them but I highly doubt that the real promoters are aware of the actions of a few people that are actually doing damage to their party. Maybe the time has come when the real reason raves were started has completely lost it's way. SAD. G

generally i just put people with big or stupid sig's on ignore.
the truth is that if you see any attention-grabbing sig too much, whether it be "pretty" like sammy's or just really fucking stupid like cinist's, it's going to start to grate on you after a while. just like that somewhat decent track you heard a few too many times at parties and now you hate. yay and g'day.
