friend who's not cool anymore
one of my old buddies is pissing me off. he used to be the most chill guy ever who didnt give a fuck... which was bad back then because he was so useless... and ended up failing outta ubc then langara. so a year later after he served his academic suspension, he quit smoking weed and is now a maniac at school. i mean yeah you obviously have to get your act together if you wanna have a chance to get back on track in the academic world which is cool i'm fully supporting him on that. but hes becoming a fuckin fuckface now. he has ambitions to get into commerce which is great, but hes also aiming for shit like ivy league grad school programs... which is also great but pretty insane if you ask me.... he is getting straight A's now which is good. but now he thinks he is the SHIT. and is becoming extremely annoying and hard to handle. he really thinks that commerce is the light above all things and talks out loud in front of liberal arts students that theyre all wasting the economy's money doing bullshit courses cuz theyre stupid.
he said this out loud while we were chillin at his place in front of a bunch of us who are liberal arts students. i was so pissed so i was like who the fuck do you think you are? just shut the fuck up. (he was also yapping about boring politics while all of us ate bud cookies so that was the last thing we wanted to talk about). then he went on a rant at me saying "martin you can't know anything if all you do is smoke weed." "martin you don't know ANYTHING!!! all you know is how to twirl a fucking record!" he was also drunk and he has always been a fuckin annoying bitch when he's drunk. very aggressive this guy is pissing me off. it's almost like i can't be friends with him anymore. he has extreme political views (very much like wum and mark paul sadly) and is trying too hard to be a smart ass. he needs to chill the fuck out, smoke some weed with us, and forget about that shit. i can't have a normal conversation with him anymore since it feels like he's constantly trying to prove that hes a genius. and if you argue with him, he gets too intense and ridiculously stubborn. fuckin hard to handle nowadays. i can just see him crashing again and losing everything if he isn't careful. people need to be concious if they're fuckin bipolar like that. ARRGGHH!!!

sucks when people change so much.... especially when its someone u used to have so much fun with... there is probably nothing u can really do to change it though.. he probably went thru alot to change his ways and get his ass in gear.... hes probably just scared of going back to his old ways which is why he acts so hardcore about what he does now..... sounds like he needs to lighten up though.... hes losing alot of good friends with his attitude.

yeah i can understand why he's acting like that.... i know i've gone through phases where i felt the need to let everyone know i wasn't what they thought i was.. but damn people who have too much to prove are never cool. you're basically screaming to the world that you're insecure. and the fact that hes too one sided on subjective topics (he's right, everything else is wrong) shows how ignorant and stupid he is. i know alot of people go through these kind of phases, and it usually seems inevitable that something bad happens.....
i hope he doesn't lose his motivation to get high grades, but if he keeps this bullshit up none of us are gonna wanna call him out. all of us (we all went to high school together) love to just kick back and get blazed and CHILLLL.... he's not that anymore... WAY too intense.

he wont have to worry about his GPA much for the IVY league grad schools in the United States, money and his score on the gmat will be the biggest factor. Getting back into ubc and then getting into the faculty of commerce will be the hardest thing for him to do if he hasnt done it already. Getting into UBC is insane, getting into commerce is even harder. i really think people underestimate the type of grades you need to even get into the school(or SFU) especially when they make arguments about tuition being the factor that limits most potential students. He'll need an average in the mid-high 80's after completing math 105 & 105 and other his first/second year courses if he even wants to get looked at, and considering that he blew his first year at school his average is probably pretty shitty. It dosnt matter anyway you'll probably get the last laff because alot of the people doing liberal arts majors in psych/economics are people who couldnt get into commerce so chances are hes gonna end up just like them(me).
besides a commerce degree is only better then a liberal arts degree if he's already decided that he wants a career in finance and even then alot of econ majors (etc) end up in finance, they tend to only want people with really strong quantitative analysis skills regardless of major. or he could just suck it up, finish a liberal arts major in a specialization he hates and then work for a few eyars and go back to finish his MBa at a private university which tend to focus on people who work in buisness but have liberal arts backgrounds. alot of them are even cheaper then UBC but they dont have the name of an ivy league school. so essentially he's being a dick because he dosnt feel very good about himself so he's trying to shit on you and everyone else to try and make himself feel better. HE probably dosnt fully understand what hes in for, chances are his grandious dreams will not come to fruitition (but mine will hahaha) p.s Its alright to have ambition and be a little neurotic about your personal goals (I say that ebcause i am ahah) but the guy sounds like he needs some zoloft or some sort of treatment to deal with hsi underlying psychological problems. It's annoying when people go from cool to fool. I've got a Friend who's an Aircraft Mechanic and he has this "Holier than all with Wings" attitude. He likes to talk down to us that are of the Pilot kind and the most annoying part is that he went through the same program as us and still flies once in awhile himself. LIKE DUDE! YOU ARE ONE OF US TOO! It's only BCIT, just because you cover yourself in Oil and fix the shit that we bust while enjoying ourselves doesn't mean you can be a fuckwit when we hang out. We usually just feed him some 151 until he passes out and we can continue the festivities like drawing on him etc

i find hillarious how people who preach about these secret societies and conspiracy theories think they are so fucking wise and enlightened in reality. i don't doubt there have been some evil people in power who were more interested in power and self interest, but i don't believe most of the shit some of you crazy delusional retards preach.
yeah i smoke weed what the fuck does that have to do with anything? i smoke it so i can chill out after a long day of sober work. i'm also concious that i've got mania problems and when i'm too sober i end up preaching about ridiculous school shit 24/7. there is always a time and place for talking about crazy political/economical/social issues but my buddy feels the need to talk about this shit all the time, obviously to prove that hes not the dumbass we all joke about time to time. it's not cool. dj franco yes just shut up about it like wum has decided to do.
