tv for children generally isnt designed to teach them anything.Gone are the days of mr.rogers and mr.dressup,the only educational tv show for kids is like sesame street.

Its hard to get children off TV when they have been raised to watch it.
and do nothing else.

I hate MOST kids TV shows.

TV is banned from my children....most of it anyways.

if youre a nanny you should have activitys for the children to do that are mentally stimulating.Like drawing,or making art,or reading,or playing outside,or even inside,Build tent citys!

I have the kids for 4 hours out of the day every day of the week. We play watch movies together, draw paint. go for walks. bake cookies. (and one all day but shes only 2 and she doesnt watch TV)

sometimes kids just want to sit back and relax and watch some TV. and play video games. Its nice to have the energy to do things 24/7 with kids.. unfortunetly you cant do that everyday.

agreed you are the nanny your in charge dont't let these kids walk all over u, teach them morals and the right thing, don't ban the television make them work for it; like say after we go to the park you can watch t.v for a half an hour.

truth. with all the evil mixed media out in tv land im surprised more parents havent shutdown the cable box. if a screen must be watched plunk em infront of the computer, thats where I push my sis (the biggest SBSP fan).

I put her for a nap and she puts on the TV when I leave... and just watches for hours.. till I realized she wasnt napping so it got unplugged.
