come on budds, you know that I know some of the history of what we call dance music today. It just seems this berdo disco crap was put upon us by the lame hippsters who work at Zulu.

Huh?

No, it would have been James Murphy and the DFA kids in New York that started up this whole beardo disco thing. Plus there's been a whole revitalization of music along the whole italo theme... disco punk / space disco and whatnot. But honestly Vancouver's a little behind the game of cities like LA and NYC that have been exercising the sound a lot lately.

I stepped into Zulu for the first time in about a year two days ago, and their electronic section is still blustered over with electro, didn't really see any italo there at all, so try again.

I don't know Jame Murphy, but I mean come on, the Zulu GOOFS are obsessed with DFA. They are all about the DFA. There electronic section is weak, they are lazy, don't know what to order (minus some shit glitch tech crap that sucks more then this berdo stuff). Basicly they work at Zulu, enough said.

The music is great. No production gimmicks, no cheap hooks.. a little cheese, I'll admit, but it's good cheese. It's simple music and totally organic vibes.
