Oh, and Vancouver's Beardo master, Jason Lev is playing @ Century House this Tuesday (Nov. 6). Highly recommend checkin' it out. This man is known for his record collection and knowledge of rare and elcectic disco/r&b from the 70s and 80s, and he barely plays out at all. His mix compilations are critically acclaimed and very highly regarded.

here is my Beardo tid bit for today:

So while the hipster blog world is arguing over which version of "Jimmy" is better (The M.I.A. version or the original Bollywood version from 1983 move "Disco Dancer"), I realized my sister and I were going off in our bedroom to THE original back in the early 80s when we were little kids. I never knew what it was called, but I knew it was the original as opposed to the version from Disco Dancer. So I traced it down this morning (it was hard) and it turned out to be a song by a French Canadian guy named "Ottawan" called "T'es OK":

Y'know, I've been thinking...

It seems there's always a perfect balance of beard between the two junior members of Team Shad, but what would happen if Senior Shad grew a beard? How would the beard-balance be affected? If Senior Shad really is this gung-ho about beardo disco, I think it would be worth disrupting the natural laws of the universe to see him with a proper beardo disco beard.
