Demitra wud be a good start, but Sundin is being too much of a baby. Since nazzy is already in NY its not worth the trouble of waiting on Sundin for that "Super Swedish Line." Gillis has plenty of cap space and did draft that speedy winger from surrey who might be clutch if he gets a chance to play. Gillis talks like he knows what hes doing so lets jus wait n see...

Regardless, look at Shannon's AHL numbers - 30G, 66A in 89 GP. That to me, along with his performance last year make him first line potential.

Also, the comparison might have been made when he was first drafted, but at this point I don't think it can be made. *IF I were to compare him to someone it would probably be Steve Sullivan.

I'll try and break this down for you again.... I said Shannon has first line potential. Never did I say "SHANNON IS A SUPERSTAR", "SHANNON WILL BE A PPG PLAYER", "SHANNON IS THE NEXT BURE", etc...

Also, I'm not quite sure what team you're looking at, but on the Canucks there is plenty of room to fill.......

^NHL '09 is coming out with "Play with NHL '94 Controls". Basically just condenses all the '09 controls into the '94 two button layout (one shoot/check, one pass/change player).

Very nice signing. While he's not someone to build a team around, he'll be a great addition to the team and take some much need pressure off the Sedins.

Hopefully Bernier will rip it up this year playing with the sisters and make Gillis regret low-balling him and not signing him to a multi year contract before he got the offer sheet.

I believe an extension can't be negotiated until january 1 for players signed to matched offer sheets..... but I could be wrong.

actually, it was a lot more then that. They are trying to make it so that if he plays well this year we are stuck paying him for his preformance to keep him.
