^ Nope, b/c Rank 1 Alphazone, and *drum roll* MIKE, will bring the pain. Their sets will consist of great dynamic. Lisa Lashes is a great means of putting the cherry on top too. I don't think any of the dooms night headliners will really bring it for the exception of Blank and Jones. Tomcraft = meh, predictable set, not impressed. Ann = played out lately, Mario = saw him not too long ago and spun first class cheese. No question, Spooky will 0wn me again this year. That is all.

Thanks for the feedback, but we didn't select our mainroom with the purpose of trying to out do Solid and their line-up. Clearly that is there intent which is why they added B&J to the line-up and possibly plan to add more.

Our goal - is to bring in quality, headlining acts in every room coupled with quality production to a new venue in downtown Vancouver.

The reality is that no matter how many headliners you throw at a party, it doesn't mean it's going to pull more people. -- Our capacity is 2500... a nice sized party with what will be a controllable and very positive vibe. With the amount going on in the city that night, even if lets say we pull 1500-2000 people away from the PNE that night, imagine how empty that venue will look. Just a thought which is why, I'm not worried at all!

PS: plus our show has virtually all the support of every other major promoter in the city for various reasons. All that type of thing helps!

As I hate going on Spooky's thread and pointing out my opinion, but I don't like your comment on how you say that you'll pull 1500-2000 away from Dooms Night and saying it'll look empty. Both will do well as halloween has a huge market and there will be lots of people coming out. Spooky could look pretty empty itself as the people can go both ways, the market isn't just based in forums and I'm sure you know that by now - just also a thought. ;)

people go on cv, fnk, rv.. read the spooky/dooms night posts then start bringing all their friends to attend the party.

and since pretty much everyone in the scene has an internet connection, i'm sure they've heard about CV, fnk, RV and probably surf around there from time to time to check out the latest parties.

And those who dont.. they're always attending the smaller, less mainstream parties.

I'm not insulting either lineup. you both have fantastic talent.

you both get kudos from me (imagine that) for bringing talent that will be worth the ticket price.

As i stated before martin "it isn't all based in forums". The interesting fact is 80% of my 1500 privates sales (personally), don't even go online to check the lineups. They go b/c they support me & solid. If you people don't know by now, only like 10-15% tickets sales goes in stores. Just a thought and I shall leave it as that as this isn't the thread I should discuss my opinion really.

My post was purely a hypothetical statement hence the "lets say" and "imagine" points.

However, in response to your post, I have to say that, in my own personal opinion, for many reasons I see a great risk in throwing a show in a venue of that magnitude on a night where there is so much competition in the city.

Anyway, and now back to our regular scheduled programming.

I find it funny how some "promoters" or supporters are going on the board bashing each other's lineup

It's odd because I don't think either lineup would decline to bring any of the headliners out here....
yet they make comparisons.
If the roles were reversed and the same dj's were brought by the two companies.
Both companies would still promote their party as "we have the better dj's'
