Not once did I ever blame anyone for the issues the world has... have you even read anything I wrote?

Go back, read it all, I'll wait.

And of course I don't think of the children getting raped... I just don't care THAT much.
Aha - donate once a year. I currently donate to over 7 charities right now, through my own company. Personally, I have money come off my paycheque each period to the charity that my work supports. And I donate through my financial institution monthly as well.

I CARE THAT MUCH.

ps - missbehavior, way classier and cool than you.

So, this money is all deductable and such, so all in all, your company gets the money back at the end of the year (or a nice chunk of it)...

And you're donating to a charity that your work supports... right... you think AL that money is going to the feed the kids foundation?

My company supports charities that have the lowest amount of operating costs. I have done my research. Nothing is free. These charities may take a portion of each donation, but it outweighs in leaps and bounds what they spend on themselves.

I at least do my part, you take up space.

I do my part by supporting the Canadian economy... that is my first and foremost priority...

I agree with Gusto, charity is charity...

You are such a walking contradiction. Seriously.

In one breath you say you don't give cause it is a waste of time, and won't help anyone.

The next you state that charity is charity(which is why I give).

Do you even know what point you are trying to argue anymore, or are you arguing for the sake of arguing?!

To agree that charity is charity doesn't necessarily mean I believe it...

Open your home to a homeless man in the DTES and THAT my friend is charity

See, this is why you shouldn't talk blindly.

I had to stop a few years ago, due to time constraints but I have done my own version of the "look good, feel better" program for a native program for DTES women. I did their make up, and gave them a care package with a toothbrush, underwear, toothpaste, deoderant and other odds and ends that I could afford, from my own pocket. I also helped with all of the programs childrens events by doing face painting. All of this was my money. No tax receipts.

Because I choose to donate money locally and internationally instead of donating my time doesn't change the meaning of the donation.

donating locally, though still the full amount does not go to the cause, is much better in my opinion, because it's bettering the place you live.

Good for you, hun.
