I don't intend to say I know as much about the economy and how it is regulated as sean does, I haven't gone to school for it for years on the subject as he has. Regardless, there are those with insider knowledge and experience that can make his most detailed rebutals pale in comparison. Like in that post that was too long for you to read, the one with a book recomendation called: Confessions of an Economic Hitman. No amount of school can override the validity of someone that deeply integrated in the process of globalization, none, the credentials speak for themselves. BTW thanks for inadvertantly prooving my point by turning this into a subject of ego, that is by far the weakest approach in this entire thread. What you don't understand or don't want to understand is that this thread (in it's core) isnt about you or me, or anyone in this thread, it's about something much greater than that, and the fact that you can't be serious for even a fleeting moment speaks more about your demoralized character than any name dropping I could ever bother with. |

You would rather be irrelavent and turn heads, I would rather be relevant regardless to the size of the audience, because chances are whoever is paying attention is actually worth my time, your crowd is a bunch of talking heads in a car headed full speed into a brick wall arguing about where they are going to sit.

BTW your oneliners are getting progressively worse and worse as this thread goes on, maybe it's about that time you packed it in and cut your losses, or atleast get funny again, this shit's getting played. |

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz HUH WHAT? SORRY I DOZED OFF WHEN YOU WERE TALKING ABOUT FINDING RELEVANCY IN A THREAD THAT ENDED A PAGE AGO ABOUT A AMERICAN POLITICAL EMAIL FORWARD POSTED ON A CANADIAN RAVE MESSAGE BOARD THAT HAS NO THREAD PARTICIPANTS THAT RAVE ANYMORE

*sigh*
Let me know when you decide to bring back the funny...as for now, I digress (thnx for the chuckles earlier on in the thread, I hope you can get over yourself and see that both sides in this debate [if we can really call it that] made some decent points). |

Yo Mark, don't even bother trying to talk to these cowards. You have friends who are legitametly interested in your opinion. These take-down artists are only out for negative attention (a.k.a psychovamps)
This thread was kinda bullshit to start. |

personally, I find it exausting pouring over all the atrocious things "the man" is up to - or could be up to is more like it. Really, what are we gonna do about it? What can we do about it?
Not a whole lot. We can scream and shout in the streets till the cows come home. We could even resort to vioelence. Still, little to nothing would come out of that because somethings are just not in our control. Life is probably much easier for brainwashed people. That isn't a bad thing either. Being in a constant state of paranoia and suspicion is a huge drain on energy that could be used for much more positive things. It's one thing to be aware of what might be going on behind the closed doors of the world's leaders, but I think some people get way to wrapped up in this conspiracy shit- considering it seems like most of the information these theories are based on, is (for all they know) suspicion and hear say. |

I am demoralized cynical, alienated and tired. Instead of trying to counter points politically, or get involved intimately with social justice issues and fight to have my opinions heard and considered. (Because at the end of the day, it’s all struggle) I will take a back seat and disguise my laziness (born of living in an imperialist western society), as finding more "positive things" to do. I used to think the same way. Its hard not to, when you live in a society where consumption and distraction offer far more of an enticing lifestyle. But illusions always have a way of coming crashing down. I figure getting a head start on being prepared for those days, cant be so much of a bad thing, regardless of the struggle and personal confrontation such change entails. I may strongly disagree with the methodology, or prioritization of issues that heads like revolver, mark or 325... utilize/d but most of the time their prose revolves around raising awareness and critiquing established values and systems -this will NEVER get old, or irrelevant, even when wit, sarcasm, and stupid jokes fade to dust. Where I come from, and the way I was raised/lived, humor is pleasant, but empathy is everything. |

this, coming from the guy who consitantly gives people shit for judging his character based merely on what he posts on a raver board. Translation: Anyone who sees things in a different light than fable must be demoralized, cynical, alienated and tired..... you dont know me clown! |

Simmered? Good. Now, think about my first line a little more deeply. Dont take it so personally, and look at it more as an assessment of where your comments come from and what they could signify. This is what YOU said: Quote:

Being glib could be a product of cynicism, no? Quote:

And Im curious, what exactly are these "positive things" you were referring to? You mentioned earlier, that there are “somethings just not in our control” I couldn’t think of a better reason for MORE active participation, research, and reinvigorated fight. Quote:
