Should be but isn't. So, if the fans want to see Rory in an All-Star game, that's the way it is. It really doesn't have much effect on hockey. It's just one exhbition game. I doubt Mike Modano is going to lose any sleep over it.

It doesn't mean the fans want to see Rory in the NHL All Star Game just because he makes it. Thats the flaw itself. Is that just because Rory makes it must mean the fans all want him to be in it. Wrong.
Unlimited voting means the same people are probably voting for him over and over. It should be one vote per member. Fuck never mess with a good system. Leave it bettman to fuck just one more thing up in the NHL. Whats next bettman. |

Serious or not its a game to showcase the All Stars of the league having some fun with it.
Just like in the Pro Bowl for the NFL. Imagine if Peyton Manning got his spot taken by some no name player just because people could vote that no name in. |

Imagine if the entire football league was replaced by everyday guys during a strike....hey, that actually happened in 1987 and was later made into a semi-successful film. |

Plus, Don Cherry wasn't bitching when he was voted into the top 10 as a write in candidate for "The Greatest Canadian" on CBC (the top 10 people got hour long CBC specials about them). Cherry is a bigger joke than the vote for Rory campaign could ever be. Someone should start some sort of "vote senile Don Cherry off of Hockey Night In Canada" deal. |

I still don't see any benefit of him playing. That in itself is a joke.
p.s: Cherry is starting to lose his marbles, but still shouldn't be taken off of hockey night in canada. He is becoming a little senile and crazy in what he says though. |

Well, they released the official final numbers today and Rory missed out on a spot by just over 23,000 votes
