How much are you worth per hour?

Some of us get paid a salary, some of us get paid per hour. All of us don't get paid enough. So, how much are you being paid doing what you do? And how much more do you feel you're worth pound for pound and dollar per dollar?

I'm a rockstar worker when I'm given a chance to shine. Right now i'm being paid just over $13 an hour in a call center but I feel i'm worth about $25. Why? Because I'm a man of many hats and i'm capable of finishing pretty much any task given to me.

anyways, isn't this just a classic case of the "over worked, under paid" mentality? Every time that I've succeeded in a job, it's because I knew what I wanted, then did whatever needed to be done in order to get it.

This was a list of my duties at my office 2 months ago... too lazy to update right now but most of the things I have under "learning" I have mastered... Also received my Level 1 First Aid and Claims and Disability Management certificates.

Mail duties (Open, sort and take to mail box)
- Care for lunch room (dishes/making coffee/cleaning)
- Answer phones for Paramount/Ridge
- A/P input for Paramount/Ridge
- A/R invoicing for Paramount
- Learning how to code all A/P
- Learning how to do Check run
- Learning how to A/R invoice for Ridge
- Learning how to Balance bank statement
- Learning how to do Collections
- Process an R.O.E/WCB claims
- Paramount payroll (Input time cards/print checks)
- Input Ridge shop time cards
- Write all expense cheques for Paramount and Ridge
- Process union dues for Paramount
- Input inter-company payroll charges
- Job list (every 2 weeks)
- Job address list (every 2 weeks)
- Input Ridge job costs (raw metal)
- Update progress draws for Paramount
- Copy Drawings
- Organize completed Ridge job file folders
- “ Health and Safety Committee ”
- Organize and book classes needed for WCB Safety discount, COR Programs

Everyone can bitch. But most people over estimate themselves.

I have a good skill set, but am quite happy with my compensation. I work in a competitive field, with not a lot of jobs.

When I work at the club though, I'm overpaid.

i am currently underpaid for the position i am in. but this is currently being disputed with the union and the powers that be. my boss is fighting the fight for me, it is nice to know he agrees.

bouncing at the bar pays around 20-25 an hour depending on tips

Maybe I'm overpaid?

I work on commission. Depending on how hard I feel like working I make inbetween 50-300 an hour when I work.

There's probably an easy formula for this, something like
salary = inverse relationship to fnk post count

I'm excited to be starting a wicked job in December. Starting at around $40000 + commission. Potential to hit six figures in a few years. Big base pay, big commission, and a whole lot of perks. If I'm in the six figures by my mid-twenties, you can be damn sure that I'll be happy.

esp for me last year when my post count jumped from 1300 or so to 2500 in the space of 6 months of slow buisness.

at home and on weekends its just a bad habit like biteing your nails...
