Had mine done 5 times now, every time its ended badley. only bad peircing job was from macs leather downtown, it ended up ripping threw the skin due to not peircing it deep enough and he insisted on a straight bar which ended up tearing the skin. other 4 times it was my fault (mosh pits and a loose pillow string)
doesn't really matter where you go, just make sure it's clean and sterile (which they all are or else they wouldn't be in business) and make sure to get someone who knows what they are doing rather than some young kid who thinks they do. best place i had was at pauls in surrey, the girl that has the tattoo of all the flinstones is awsome there. |

Some guy named Corey at Adrenaline was good when I got my vertical labret. He seemed experienced/professional and pointed out to me that not everyone's lips are perfectly symmetrical so that positioning was key.. etc... He did a great job with positioning. It was quick, smoothe and a relaxing experience. Don't know if he still works there.
The guy who did my regular labret (Also at adrenaline, some younger 20/21-ish year old guy) wasn't as experienced. He had only been piercing for a year or so and it took him forever to get the piercing ready. Anyways, I highly recommend the corey guy at Adrenaline if he still works there. I think, generally, anyone who's been piercing for longer will probably be a more comfortable experience. |

Taking forever to get the piercing ready isn't a bad thing. He obviously cared enough to accept the fact that he was inexperienced and make sure he got it right. Chances are he was just out of his apprenticeship and still unused to not having someone more experienced leaning over his shoulder.

I think he got it slightly crooked too :|.. I also *think* a vertical labret is actually a little more challenging because you'd have to get both the top ball and the bottom ball aligned so that it doesn't look off-centred.. I don't know, I'm not a piercer so I wouldn't know, but that's just my impression. The other guy wasn't *that* bad or anything, but I did sense the first guy definitely had more experience and it showed in his attitude, confidence and knowledge. Piercings for some, miniature American flags for others.
I don't know what it is, because logically it makes no sense, but girls that get pierced that are hot become even more hot. If you're a fatty or just ug, you have no hope in the first place. This is not why my face has metal...really. :amuse: Oh and I have a friend that does it at cost, none of her work has rejected or infected for me, so if anyone wants a good deal drop me a line. |
