Yes, which is why they started putting more "guifenesen" into cough medicine because it makes you really ill at high doses.

do you know what guifenesin does in high doses?
where did you hear that they were changing the ratio because of the effects of DXM?
those to drugs have two very different uses.
guifenesin is an expectorant, it loosens mucus in your lungs and allows you to cough it out.
DXM is a cough supressant and sleep aid. it's used when you have a dry cough or when you're needing rest.

the 15mg dose perscribed in nyquil and such is not even near enough to have the effect you're talking about. hell, the whole bottle isn't enough.

try drinking 3 bottles. but then the vicious roseacia and other side effects of the guifenacin would be worse than anything the DXM was doing.

just to clarify, because i know some of you like to jump on anything i say and try to make yourselves feel like you are on a higher moral ground, i have not and will not be drinking 3 bottles of nyquil, or "tussin".

the info i gave was taken from a discussion i had with the man behind everything at Kripps, he actually recommended the pure DXM pills for women for that exact reason.
so maybe instead of jumping on me for it, go take it up with him in person.
