-floata in chinatown, dt. probably the most efficient dimsum place in downtown, you can be in and out in 30 mins. -There's a dimsum place on E.1st and Rupert? Its in the same mall as the T&T, but upstairs. cheap dimsum and good too. -hkyk in richmond -pretty much any chinese restaurant in richmond that serves dimsum is good. bret- Phnom Penh..omg ridiculous wings there. yum!!! yes my passion is food |

hmm so floata or Phnom Penh are good eh? I'll probably try one or the other. I don't really care about in and out, i wanna sit down and have a convo and eat quality dim sum. All the places i've been to have been richmond and coquitlam areas so I'm looking for somewhere close to downtown. Thanks guys!

my favorite place is Rich Ocean on Broadway. no carts or anything, everything is ordered a la carte.
Imperial on burrard and hastings is alright but it's gone downhill. Everyone raves about Sun Siu Wah on Main st, but I don't think i've been since i was a kid. Really packed tho. under no circumstances should you go to a place like pink pearl or hons... don't listen to the white folk :) |

is hons even considered dim sum? their potstickers kick ass though. and their t-shirts make me laugh.
IMO when it comes down to it, you judge the quality of a dim sum place by how they upkeep their bathrooms. If they don't care about theirs, they probably don't care to maintain their kitchen. |

DQM is a sick store it sounds like. I tried to do a phone order there but they wouldn't have nothin of it.
