In Canada, we elect parties, not people.

I don't plan to vote. I would have to vote by mail and the Conservatives (for whom I would vote) won >70% of the vote for the past two elections in my riding, so why bother?

What really grinds my gears is people who bitch about others that don't vote, but when it came time for the debates, they watch the American VPs instead. If you're going for vote, you need to know what the fuck you are doing. By voting just for the sake of voting you just ruin it for people that actually have a fucking clue.

I am strongly against universal suffrage. When I say this, people usually assume I don't want women or blacks or immigrants voting, but really I just don't want uneducated, uninformed bitch-tits voting for a party just because "that's the party they've always voted for."

I used to be NDP as that is what my parents always voted. Then I realized, my parents are a bunch of brain dead, bleeding-heart hippies who would rather see the entire country go to hell than have a few homeless drug addicts without medicare. I challenge all of you who actually plan to vote to really look at the pros and cons of your party.

Dion is weak. The Liberals need a better leader, he is too easy to pass off. Harper is very strong, although some of his ideology, being a right wing Christian can be a bit scary.

If you do give a thought about abortion, it's a very complicated subject. I don't like the idea of women not having the right to choose, but at the same time you are terminating the life of the highest form of being that we know of on this Earth. Very stickey stuff. I wish no one had to go through that choice.

I love watching the pro-choicers outflank GAP shows with alternative contraception pamphlets. It's like a "let's avoid abortions" party except everybody hates each other.

Thought I'd share this with you guys. I was walking down at robson and was at the intersection that it shares with Burrard. And I guess Adriane Carr (Green Party) thought it would be a great idea to have a procession of people walk down the street with signs and pass out pamphlets and ask people whether if they are voting.... And no word of a lie I witness one of these people ask a homeless guy who was sitting down begging "Are you going to vote?". The homeless bitched the guy out and pretty much said "Can't you fuckin see I'm homeless, I have no fixed address, how do you expect me to vote?"....

yeah that was totally random. the gun registry is a gigantic waste of resources and interestingly enough was never scrapped by the conservatives. but that has nothing to with the Liberals handling of the economy and finance. like I said if you look at their record it's miles ahead of Tory governments. the truth is that the far right wing ideology of deregulation and rampant capitalism leaves economies shattered in ruin.

and to the Conservative voters can you honestly say that you endorse a US style war on drugs? can you really support a party that refuses to address climate change?
